It tells you this in the readme file, after this it works fine and you will see it when you click view source of your site.

You can locate the tpl_footer_.php file in your templates/template_default/common or in your themes templates/common folder, you can use an override by copying the template default footer file to your themes common folder.

Then just sign in to your Google Analytics free account to view the stats.
I just installed via the instructions. Applied the patch. Added the line in tpl_footer_.php. Put my Google Analytics account in the admin and nothing. After a few hours and it still isn't tracking. I'm wondering if this addon works with the new asynchronous snippet?
    I added this to http://www.perfecthealthremedies.com
    Thanks

    Default Re: Google Analytics Integration

I have the latest version of this mod installed.

I have noticed that there seems to be a difference to what is being reported compared to actual sales on my site.

for example I might have 5 sales and only 3 show on google analytics..?

    has anyone else experienced this?

I have cowoa installed - could it be something to do with this? (though not sure why it would as checkout confirmation and success are the same files being used)

is there anything I can do to debug to see if there is a common trend?

when I downloaded the files there were more java script files than the instruction said to upload... should I have these files on the server or not?

    many thanks

    Phil

I'm having the same problem as Phil, except no sales are showing up in my Google Analytics since I installed COWOA. All settings are the same.

I just fixed it. I still don't know what the exact problem was, but I installed COWOA after I already had Fast and Easy Checkout installed. After my new template FEC didn't work so I installed COWOA to replace it, but never fully uninstalled FED. I uninstalled FEC completely and then reuploaded the files for COWOA and now it works great.

    Presently using: v1.3.9f

I have this module installed and working.

However, the client has just asked me to insert specific conversion codes for 3 different products to track them

I know that this cannot be done as you would a static site as pages are created dynamically, so, does this module support the tracking of individual products? if so, am i missing something!?

I am not really familiar with this, so, if anyone could at the least shed some light, that would be handy

    thanks

Is ther a way to make this pod work with 2 adwords accounts? Or do i have to use it for just one and then add the code for the second one manually?

and just to confirm this will pass through the total order pricing details to adwords/analytics right?

    Thanks

You would have to add your own 'second' tracking to the thank you page for the second Adwords account. However, why would you want to run to Adwords accounts to the same site? It would be best for your Adwords campaigns to run just one account (for quality scoring, best bid rates, etc...)

    Just a thought.

Not sure with this mod in particular, but if it is like the Simple Google Analytics mod, it should track that info right out of the box by default (using Ecommerce Tracking.) Google Analytics has the ability to track this info without adding any additional 'tracking info' to a single product ... you just need to make sure ecommerce tracking is turned on from within your analytics account, and then make sure your module supports that as well.

    Hope that helps!

The only problem with this method is all you will be able to track is 'standard' Google Analytics data. You won't have the ability to track Ecommerce Transactions or PPC conversion. To track those you need two different types of code snippets on the checkout success page.

For the ecommerce tracking portion you'll need to code (PHP) it so that it actually picks up each transaction. With this mod or the other Simple Google Analytics mod for zen, you can do this right out of the box.
