Hi everyone, and THANKS to the publisher for sharing this WONDERFUL add on.
Everything works great!!! EXCEPT...
I installed Windows Live Messenger chat client on a website using the HTML code available at: http://settings.messenger.live.com/a...bSettings.aspx
The client works great for chat and no problems connecting.
The issue is that now my website (www.majesticsilver.co.uk), which has SSL certificate, gets security warnings from all browsers.
On Internet Explorer for example when opening my page it warns that "Only Secured content is displayed" and it will not display the chat button that links users to the live chat unless you select "show all content".
Google chrome throws up a security warning "this page includes resources which are not secure" (meaning the MSN chat button) and does not display HTTPS properly at the top of the screen, just https in red with a strike through line.
I know this is happening because the code included in http://settings.messenger.live.com/a...bSettings.aspx retrieves the Presence Button/link that is displayed on my website, www.majesticsilver.co.uk , in HTTP and not HTTPS, for example mine uses:
(this is only part of the code)
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://messenger.services.live.com/users/[email protected]/presence?dt=&mkt=en-GB&cb=Microsoft_Live_Messenger_PresenceButton_onPresence"></script>
If I disable the Windows Live Messenger presence button from my pages I get no SSL security warnings so I know this is the cause.
Is there an alternative SECURE link to the Presence Button that I can use instead to avoid these errors which will scare people away from my website?
PLEASE HELP![]()
