How do I get the Wide Banners from the admin to show at the bottom of the template?

Again, this is not a template specific question.

But...

activate the "wide banners" in
admin -> tools -> banner manager

Then in

admin -> configuration -> layout settings

make sure you have this setting

I'm using your cold steel template and I like the clean professional look.

I have a problem with the image in the product page. It won't centre, it just shows in half. Here it is:

The images are too wide for the space you want them to fit in.

try resizing the width to 400px

Is there any other way than resizing the pics, like adjusting the column width or bringing the pic to the center.

I've searched some other posts in the support forum, but I have not had any success in any of the suggestions posted. Maybe it is something template specific that needs to be done?
I want to keep the subcategories showing the category name and image - its just the top level categories on the main page I want to only display the image for. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated - I really like your Cold Steel template!

Its not template specific.

You'll need to edit includes/modules/category_row.php

look at line 39 in that file the highlighted portion is what need to be edited/deleted

    $list_box_contents[$row][$col] = array('params' => 'class="categoryListBoxContents"' . ' ' . 'style="width:' . $col_width . '%;"',
                                           'text' => '<a href="' . zen_href_link(FILENAME_DEFAULT, $cPath_new) . '">' . zen_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . $categories->fields['categories_image'], $categories->fields['categories_name'], SUBCATEGORY_IMAGE_WIDTH, SUBCATEGORY_IMAGE_HEIGHT) . '<br />' . $categories->fields['categories_name'] . '</a>');

make sure to save the edit file to
includes/modules/cold_steel/category_row.php

upload the edited file to your server.

I did your fix and now the category name does not show on the main categories, which is what I wanted!

However, now the category name is gone from the sub-categories as well, and I need those there. Is there a way to specify only the top level categories to apply this code fix to? Thanks again for your help and quick replies, it is much appreciated!

I'd have to do some digging to see if there is a fix.

I just downloaded and installed your cold steel template in my website (http://www.www.fcndesigns.com/lucbansbest) and it really looks great. I like the design very much.. simple but cozy.

1. I have this problem about Google ads not appearing at the bottom of the page where i put it. Its in the footer position 3. What comes out is this code at the bottom of the page - <" + "/script>"); //--> -->.

The ad shows up when i put it in footer position 1 and 2 but still the error comes out. I want to put it in footer position 3 but i don't have any idea where the problem is.

2. Also, how is it done? How do you make a navigation bar appear on top of the page, between the main header and the body just like in your demo page ( i.e. new products, specials,etc.).?

Looks like you have an error in the script you are using:
make sure you've copied the exact code you got from google.

For the other: those are created using EZ-pages

make sure you turn on the EZ-pages header:
admin -> configuration -> EZ-Pages Settings -> EZ-Pages Settings (set to 1)

Then you'll need to create your EZ-pages internal links:
admin -> tools -> EZ-Pages

My mistake when I told you it was google ad that is having a problem displaying. It was actually another ad that is causing the problem, the code of which was taken from PhpAdsnew. I changed its invocation code so there's no more problem.

I also managed to add the header bar.

I just ran into a big problem! The footer, all of them do not show up.. the lower portion of my site don't show up. I can't recall what I was doing in the admin configuration so I can't get it back. Can you help? It's here - http://fcndesigns.com/lucbansbest.

This template is working really well for me, and I'm foolishly pleased with like the look of my new site (https://www.acmefibres.com). I'm still uploading products into it, but I think it's pretty much got the look I'm going to keep.
