Ceon Manual Card Payment Module v2.0.0!

Okay, I'll install the current version then. I didn't realize it was basically the same, just the installation process is simpler.

Re: Ceon Manual Card Payment Module v2.0.0!

Started to install the the manual card processing module and realized why I was waiting for 3.0. I can't get my host to install Crypt-Blowfish on the server and 3.0 will include it.

Hi,

Euonym:

Started to install the the manual card processing module and realized why I was waiting for 3.0. I can't get my host to install Crypt-Blowfish on the server and 3.0 will include it.

Just disable "Use Blowfish Encryption" as a temporary measure, until you can upgrade to version 3.0.0.

All the best..

Re: Ceon Manual Card Payment Module v2.0.0!

Hello
I have basically read thru this entire thread. Have the mod installed but still confused about what stylesheets to change -

that is not terribly important right now becasue I too have the Pear problem. I have contacted my server and we installed the Crypt Bowfish 1.1.0CR2 version - I aslo thought It said beta behind it. and of course ther error is still there.

My server said that is the only version that they had on files. However if there was another one I could reference it and the tech department would configure my root to that.

Comments please?

Hi,

stitchnkitty:

I have basically read thru this entire thread. Have the mod installed but still confused about what stylesheets to change -

You're the first person ever to have that problem as the documentation **specifically **tells you the exact stylesheet(s) you can add the styles to. I'm sorry but I can't make it any easier for you, simply re-read the instructions or ask your web designer to do it for you, it's really incredibly simple to do.

That beta version would have been fine. However, your hosts must have messed up the server's PEAR settings and rather than spend time sorting our your server problems it's better that I concentrate on getting version 3.0.0 out so servers like yours which are badly configured won't have any problems.

Just disable "Use Blowfish Encryption" as a temporary measure, until you can upgrade to version 3.0.0. Then you won't have any trouble! :)

All the best..

I am a newbie and sometimes I have to reread things many times before it sinks in. Things are sometimes not so obvious.

And I will disable until 3.0.0 comes out TY for your response!!!

Hi Kitty,

stitchnkitty:

I was taking it by your forum credentials/statistics that you're not quite what I would call a newbie.. that's quite a lot of posts you've made e here! ;)

stitchnkitty:

Fair enough. Basically, put the styles in

/includes/templates/STORE_TEMPLATE/css/stylesheet.css

Simple as that! :)

stitchnkitty:

And I will disable until 3.0.0 comes out TY for your response!!!

Dsiable Blowfish Encryption? Or the whole module? Blowfish Encryption, yes, disable it in the meantime if you haven't got it working, but 3.0.0 won't have any changes for the stylesheet, so best to make those changes now.

All the best..

Re: Ceon Manual Card Payment Module v2.0.0!

Hi there

I'm using Zencart 1.3.7 and CEON Manual Card Payment Module 1.2.0

I realise I need to upgrade this.

Do I just install 2.2.0 over the top of the current installation?

Sorry if this is a basic question and thanks for any help.

Hi Steve,

copels:

Absolutely not!

You should follow the upgrade instructions that come with the software.

Did you forget to read the documentation?

If you aren't in any rush, upgrading to 3.0.0 will be easier as it has auto-upgrade functionality built in. It should be released in about two weeks.

All the best..

Re: Ceon Manual Card Payment Module v2.0.0!

@copels,
You would be better served to upgrade to 1.3.9h immediately. Just the upgraded security justifies the need to upgrade ASAP:yes:

Re: Ceon Manual Card Payment Module v2.0.0!

Hi Dbltoe

Thanks for the feedback.

I would like to upgrade Zencart but I'm worried that I'll break the store just before Christmas which is the bussiest time.

The store was built for me by somebody who is no longer freelance and may not be able to help quickly if there's a problem.

Is it straightforward? Last time I upgraded it took me many days to get the site functioning again properly. Any hints and tips for a successful upgrade?

Re: Ceon Manual Card Payment Module v2.0.0!

Hi Steve,

I don't think it's the best time to upgrade unless you have a professional developer standing by behind you to back you up if things go wrong.

At the very least though you should install the Zen Cart security patches released over the past few years.. they are the biggest problem with using an old version (don't take this lightly, you NEED to install any patches). The following is ESSENTIAL:

http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=130161

This isn't the appropriate place to have this discussion though. Please instead post the "**Upgrading from 1.3.x to 1.3.9**" thread in the main forum.

Good luck with the store and the installing of the patches.

All the best..

Hi Conor

Thanks for your reply below.

I have taken my site offline while I wait for version 3. Can you let me know when it is available so I can download and upgrade.

Many thanks

Please just use the current version.. I've almost all of the code done but I don't have time to work on the documentation at the minute so it's not likely to be until sometime next week that I can actually release the distribution.

All the best..

Re: Ceon Manual Card Payment Module v2.0.0!

I just installed this in our ZenCart v1.3.9h..

It shows in my payments/modules but when I go to checkout it shows Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time.
and no payment modules show up.

Our admin folder isn't admin - it is corn_admin

Where do I update that at? Is that the issue? Thoughts?

Hi - Just wanted to thank the author of this module; it just totally saved my business. I donated! Not much, but something. I'm so grateful for open source and for people who support it. :)

Thanks! :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

Thanks very much indeed, both for the kind words and for the donation, they're greatly appreciated!

I'm very glad to hear that the software was so useful to you, it makes the time spent on developing, supporting and maintaining it that bit more worthwhile!

Have a great Christmas!

Re: Ceon Manual Card Payment Module v2.0.0!

Hi Conor,

I am currently using version 1.3.9h of Zen Cart. I've installed the Ceon Manual Credit Card Module (which I love by the way!).

I was thinking of removing the "Credit Card Start Date (if on card) portion of the credit card input form.

Do you see any downside to removing this?

Previously I saw where you explained how to remove the CVV by deleting certain lines in the includes/modules/payments/ceon_manual_card.php file. I was hoping to try to do the same thing for the Start Date.

If you think there are no problems with removing this, could tell me what lines of code to delete?

Thanks!
