Hi,
crexis:
Is the last step for 1.5.x versions to go setup a Cron job via the control panel?
Yes.
crexis:
I'm having issues on how exactly this is done, it's not really told the details on how to do this.
It depends on your hosting. In different hosting companies for different tariff plans, on many systems, this is done differently. Ask your hosting support service.
crexis:
In the admin there's an option to 'view, truncate or delete', should I be 'truncating' the different xml files?
No
crexis:
what does that do?
If you don't know what that is, just ignore. It's for advanced users. These few people are using.

Maybe that will help you HOW TO SET UP A CRON JOB IN CPANEL.
I run to create a map of the site once a day - in the deep of night, when the server more or less free.

Thanks a_berezin for the help, 1 additional question
I am setting up the Cron job, I set it for everyday at 4 am. However I'm unsure what to put in the command line.
Should I put /public_html/zen Which is where I have my site in my ftp, or should I put my sites url -> https://www.sunnysihota.com/zen or somewhere else within the site?
I did a search on my site for sitemap but it didn't show up. Does it only show up once a cron job is done? Or is there some option in the admin to make it visible?
thanks for the help!

I don't know what command you use in CRON task.
If WGET, then
http://www.sunnysihota.com/zen/cgi-bin/sitemapxml.php?rebuild=yes&ping=yes
If php-cli, then
<path_to_home_directory>/zen/cgi-bin/sitemapxml.php rebuild=yes ping=yes
About <path_to_home_directory> ask your hosting. It depends on your hosting.

Hello Andrew,
some of my sites are submitting images for indexing and some are not - all 6 sites are using SitemapXML v 3.2.6 17.06.2012 and all sites are v1.3.9h.
Is there some configuration that needs to be done for the sitemap to submit images?
kind regards,
Mike

Hi All
We are currently running Zencart 1.5.1 with the latest version of SitemapXML 3.2.6 17.06.2012 16:13
The install seemed to have gone well and I did not find any issues (all menu items are available, SQL update done..etc)
The issue happens when try to do the following under Zencart Admin:
Tools --> SitemapXML --> Click the SEND button to update the site map..
A small window opens up correctly to try and run the update process which is normal however I get a 404 error...
Looking into the URL it's trying to use I see the following: http://shop.COMPANY.com.au/shop/index.php?main_page=sitemapxml&rebuild=yes&ping=yes&
However the correct URL should be: http://shop.COMPANY.com.au/index.php?main_page=sitemapxml&rebuild=yes&ping=yes&
We do not have a sub folder called "shop" but the plugin is adding this sub folder of 'shop' to the URL for some reason...
If I then manually edit the URL to be: http://shop.COMPANY.com.au/index.php?main_page=sitemapxml&rebuild=yes&ping=yes& the module runs and generated the site map files withough any errors or issues.
Please could you let me know what we might have setup wrong in our shop or were it might be getting the additional sub folder shop name and how we can fix this.
Thanks very much!

The install seemed to have gone ...............
Please ignore the above issue, we managed to work out the problem... we had an issue with our Admin configure.php file... the following still had 'shop' listed but we never noticed the issue as this must be the only plugin that uses this admin path as the front end store config php file was correct and was the one we were checking originally.
Incase any one else runs into this issue in the future check the config file above in your Admin\Includes folder for the following two lines and update as needed...
define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/shop/');
define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/shop/');

Obviously you want to say that this is the only plugin that you are using, which uses the standard zen-cart function "zen_catalog_href_link()" for the link?
