Fresh Zen -- JellyFish Template Support Thread

AnotherVoice:

http://www.bethelsattic.com/daphane

I uploaded the JellyFish template and modified it to create a little dog boutique. The template works great except for one things. In IE, under New_Products.php, the "Details" button is not an active link. The Featured Product area works as expected (see home page.) both seem to work in Firefox.

Any ideas on how to fix this? i can disable the New Products under the product listing, but thought someone here might know the answer.

Link http://www.bethelsattic.com/daphane --> choose Casual

BTW - The same problem exist with the pure JellyFish template with none of my formatting modifications.

There's a typo that needs correcting. The details are here: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpost.php?p=816718&postcount=68

Citrustech:

3: Up on the very top of the template, there is that blue bar. In the image for this template it shows a navigation bar up there. With multiple things like categoroes. How do i get a nav bar up there?

.

Did anyone ever answer this question about the top navigational bar? I am having the same problem. Thanks.

Here is a solution (links are in blue):

Open and edit the "includes/templates/tvzen_jellyfish/common/tpl_header.php" file.

<!-- bof  mainmenu -->
<div id="menu_wrap">
	<div id="menu_body">
		<div id="navEZPagesTop">
		<ul>
		<!--bof-header ezpage links-->
		<?php if (EZPAGES_STATUS_HEADER == '1' or (EZPAGES_STATUS_HEADER == '2' and (strstr(EXCLUDE_ADMIN_IP_FOR_MAINTENANCE, $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'])))) { ?>
		<?php require($template->get_template_dir('tpl_ezpages_bar_header.php',DIR_WS_TEMPLATE, $current_page_base,'templates'). '/tpl_ezpages_bar_header.php'); ?>
		<?php } ?>
		<li><a href="index.php?main_page=page&id=2">About Us</a></li>
		<li><a href="index.php?main_page=privacy">Privacy Notice</a></li>		<!--eof-header ezpage links-->
		</ul>
		</div>
	</div>
</div>
<!-- eof  mainmenu -->

Re: Fresh Zen -- JellyFish Template Support Thread

Hello folks!

I am really a noob in this so please forgive the stupid question. I have replaced the jellyfish logo with a big one ( more than a logo, let's say a banner ) When I saw the result, it wasn't pleasant at all.. new logo/banner pushed the boxes to the right a little bit and overlapped on them.. Basically, what I need to learn here is, how can I have some more room for this new logo? like pushing the boxes below... ? :frusty:
Thank you all!
thank you for the template again!

Re: Fresh Zen -- JellyFish Template Support Thread

I'm working on a new store and would like to use this template. I've hit a small snag and was not able to find any reference to the problem in this thread. I have turned on Categories in the left column. The column graphic seems to be truncated and the column text wrap in a rather ugly fashion. Is there something that controls the column width that I need to adjust?
http://www.sewqute.com/store

Thanks, Roy

Some poking around and I found the answer to my own question. It seems the left column width needs to be set around 225px in Configuration | Layout Settings... :blush:

Re: Fresh Zen -- JellyFish Template Support Thread

Have Zencart 1.3.9 installed...liked the look of this template ao I downloaded it. I don't really get the install instructions though which are:

  1. Copy the "includes" folder in installfiles to your website. There are no files to override. *

In my zencart directory there is no folder named installfiles so does that mean I should create it and then put the includes folder in it?

Sorry for the noob question but I looked around and did not seem to see any more info.

Ok I think I figured it out... just install the "includes" folder onto the existing one and don't bother worrying custom files and overrides. I thought it prudent to back up the original directory of course. In any case this seems to work now.

I do wonder if it would be better to now do any changes I have to this zenfish template using the overrides methodology. When it comes time to upgrade zen cart it would seem there will be a good deal of work to re-install and customize this template since you would want the baseline includes directory from a fresh zencart install I assume.

@KevinsWorld, normally it won't affect the theme when you update the zen-cart system. and when I will always check the zen-cart update too, so don't worry~ enjoy ~:smile:

Re: Fresh Zen -- JellyFish Template Support Thread

I'm working with this template and am trying to change the footer background to a repeating background.

I tried doing this:
#footerwrapper {
background: url(../images/bg_foot.jpg) center bottom repeat-x;
font-size: 11px;
}

Just changing where it said no-repeat to repeat-x, nothing changed, so I deleted the line altogether and to my surprise, still nothing changed.

So it now says,
#footerwrapper {
font-size: 11px;
}

And bg_foot.jpg still shows up bottom center of my page. Where is this graphic referenced at? I don't find it in any of the .css files.
I would like to make it a repeating background from left to right, but obviously something besides the stylesheet_tv.css is controlling this.

Any ideas?

Re: Fresh Zen -- JellyFish Template Support Thread

Here:

http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&products_id=1336

To see it live (select Blue Zenfish): http://(sorry, site offline)/zc150/

I test many templates, but never really looked close at this one until just now. I suppose because it's theme is so aqua oriented.

But it does have some nice features, if one can work around the default theme that may not be suitable.

Wonder if it is good for the new 1.5 cart....
