301 redirect help

Hi,
I have just moved our zen cart hosting to a new hosting company, and all seems to be working ok except the links shown in googles search.

the old website used to have zen cart installed in https://www.mdfdisplays.co.uk/shop, but now it is just https://www.mdfdisplays.co.uk

all the links in google point to the shop folder ie:

http://mdfdisplays.co.uk/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=5

and the 401 page cannot be found shows.

How can i change all the links in google to remove the path for shop, or how can i get the links for shop to goto mdfdisplays.co.uk

do i need to do something with a htaccess file?

I recently did something similar with a magento store. however, the hosting company has a great redirect tool. What I did was change the subfolder to a different folder name.

But to answer your question, if you have cpanel for your host company, see if they have a redirect wildcard. This would ensure any files under "store" would get redirected to the correct non-store.

If that doesn't work, check with your host company. You might get a more accurate answer.
