Customer gets order but not sent to paypal first (using both group discounts+coupons)
demiurgia:
I can do that but all I did to test on the second and third site was make a discount oricing group [50% ] and a coupon for $5. I placed myself in the discount group. used the coupon and went to checkout . All goes fine unitl the last confirm order page when i am directed straight to the page that says Thank you for your order.
...
If anyone has website payments standard just test it for me pretty please. I would like to know its not just my stores but a glitch that could perhaps then be fixed.
I just spent half an hour testing for you. I used a clean new v1.3.8a install, with demo products. I added a 10% coupon, and created an account which I put into the existing 10% discount-group. I added "Sample of Product General" to my cart, since it's a regular product. For shipping I chose Per-Item. Checkout with PayPal Website Payments Standard properly went to the paypal site, asked me to login, clicked Pay Now, and returned to my site with a completed order and payment.
So, I created a 50% discount group, and a $5.00 coupon, and used those in checkout, which worked correctly as well.
Next, since your numbers above don't mention shipping, I created a virtual product so that free-shipping would kick in. Checkout using both the coupon and the discount group worked just fine.
But, since my virtual-product test shows "free shipping" as the shipping summary and your numbers above don't even mention shipping at all, I turned off the ot_shipping order-total module (not something I recommend, but that's the only way to have shipping not show in the list) and tested again with a download-product and 50% group discount plus $5.00 coupon. Checkout took me to PayPal's website, login, pay, return to store with completed order.
So ... this begs the question ... What's different between your store and a brand new fresh clean install?
