Apparel Boutique Template Support Thread

Please take my apology Anne. It works perfectly. I deleted all Store folder and installed again then changed charset to "utf-8" on English.php

Hello again..
Is it available to change background color for category box heading? I know there are leftBoxHeading and rightBoxHeading in sylesheet.css but I would like to change Categories box individualy. Could I??

Yes, you can do almost anything with css. If you want to make customizations I would recommend using google to find a good css tutorial which will explain the basics.

Hello. I have read through all 33 pages on this support thread and have obtained some good info, but still can't figure out my issue.

I have installed the template and it is working fine, but still having issues with a few things. I'm sure these are easy fixes so any info is appreciated!

1. Can"t get any CSS changes to work. going to apparelboutique>css>sylesheet.css. Wondering if my CSS settings are still pointing to my old template so that's why the new template isn't changing?

2. The footer on my site never installed as the 3 split columns. I have one long column only. How do I get the other columns present?

3. The slide show also never installed. Should I re-install the template all-together?

I don't know what you are doing, but you need to edit the file:

includes/templates/apparel_boutique/css/stylesheet.css

You have an incomplete install or a corrupted upload. I would recommend re-uploading the template package to your server.

Ok I have re-installed the template and it is showing up the same. Perhaps I am installing wrong... I uploaded the entire apparel_boutique_1.3 to my hosting account. I then opened it and copied the apparel_boutique template folder to my zencart>includes>templates folder. I am showing zc>includes>templates>apparel_boutique.

But, by only copying the apparel_boutique template folder, I still have extra datafiles, languages, and modules sitting in the apparel_boutique_1.3 folder in my html folder. Do I need to also pull these folders over into zencart? Or do these need to be sitting by themselves under my html folder?

I hope this makes sense and you can point me in the right direction! :frusty:

Got it to install correctly. I didn't realize I needed to pull the includes folder directly into my zencart folder and it would over-ride everything. I kept trying to pull it into my html folder. Thanks.

I was wondering if you can tell me how to change the dotline's creating the columns between products? I was able to use the css stylesheets at get all the other dotlines changed, but can't find where to change the color of these ones. They still show up orange on my featured products and on individual categories of products.

If you want to change the color of the dots created by the column divider pro module you have to change the includes/template/apparel_boutique/images/delim_v.gif.

Ok that's what I just messed with. I uploaded a new delim_v.gif pic with the color I need, but it doesn't look like it worked. Any other suggestions?

Oh, I was also going to ask. I have removed some of the Important Links, etc on my footer and noticed the column line shortened. How can I extend the line so they are all even without adding additional links? Hope that makes sense! Thanks.

Yes, that is exactly the problem. A very important bit of information. You can enter your about us page text via the admin--tools--define pages editor--define_about_us.php and all the site links will be correct.

Ok that's what I did, but it didn't work. I got it to work by going into includes>languages>english>extra_definitions>apparel_boutique>footer_menu_defines.php and replacing the FILENAME_ABOUT_US, with the page number (FILENAME_PAGE_X). Had to repeat this for the information sidebox. :clap:

Completely unnecessary if you have the template installed correctly and are using the about us define page.
