Ashley Pink Template Support Thread

Hi well my site is fixed but no matter what i do the page still shows error I followed the instructions as above and now get a different error - has anyone got any further suggestions this is the new error

You did not follow the instructions and that is why you have the error.

to solve this I copied the contents of the jscript_easySlider.js file into a new file (you need the enclose it within the script tag ie <script>contents of the jscript_easySlider.js</script> name this new file jscript_easySlider.php

I have now fixed most of my issues and have done away with the slider as I have tried everything suggested but nothing seems to work and i can't stand having it show error on my page however if someone comes up with an absolute fix pleas do post step by step instructions as I would like to reinstate :unsure:

Seriously, the instructions and the step by step on how to do it I posted IS the absolute fix.. (there isn't an alternate solution) The ONLY way those instruction DON'T work is if you use a Word Processor instead of a TEXT editor to make the changes..

Please don't take this the wrong way, but perhaps it might be worth it to pay someone to implement this QUICK and simple fix for you..

hi course i dont take it the wrong way - but i also note that the demo template has te error and 99% of users of the template --

i used notepad to do the tweak and i did it on my test cart 5 times to no avail so i can live with just single image for now as it is a long haul getting all my downloads into it maybe later i'll come back to it

The template demo here does not have the error:

At some point in the future I do plan on including the fixed code in an update.

I am sorry that the code was not 100% perfect when I released the template. I tested to the best of my ability and did not realize the javascript error until after the template was released. Wish I could be perfect all of the time.

and to add to this, I don't think it's been proven/demonstrated that "99%" of the sites using this or any of your other templates have this same error.

You don't have to do anything. The error means that you have already run the sql patch.

Hi could some kind peson point me in the right direct on how to modify the following ===

1. change how featured & new products are displayed ie when you click link in left column I want them to display in the same way as main product display not like this
   but like this
2. How to stop it displaying Max 1
3. How to limit the number of "new products" I would like to to display say max last 7 items added

Hi Ann i have a problem,

my site isnt loading some of the time, this is hapening like 4 times a week, i thought it was a hosting issue but they have looked into this and they are now saying its my stylesheet.css in the template file

they have said the following to me

I would suggest you try re-uploading the CSS as a 503 is normally an application error

they are saying this is something to do with the permissions but i dont understand can you shed any light on this for me? or tell me how i can do this, i have tryed to change permissions with my server but it dosnt make any difference
