Hi i am wondering how do i completely remove the numbered controls under the slide show or change it to 2 buttons next and back ether way would be fine as i have 28 images in the slideshow so it looks messy

You will place your code where you want it to show in the tpl_header.php file:

<div id="your id name"><a href="your url goes here"><img src="path to your icon"></a></div>

Then, if needed, you will use css to position the div.

Hopefully someone is still supporting this template. I have v1.3.9 and wanted to know if there is anyway the home page slide show function can be added to the categories pages?

I support all of my template packages.

The slide show can be added to any of the zen cart pages. Be sure that on the page you want to use the slider you are calling the main jquery library as well as the javascript in includes/modules/pages/index. See the wiki of this site for detailed information on how to use javascript with zen cart.

It appears that within includes/modules/pages there are predefined pages within zen-cart, such as the index (where the easy slide resides), contact us, tell a friend etc. However each category page is dynamic and not predefined, I am having trouble figuring out where to insert the easyslider jscript for each dynamic category page.

If you look at the wiki instructions it tells you how to do this. I would just add the javascript to the category description box. You would have to do this for each category that you want the slider to work on. Or you can add the js site wide but then it will show on all pages. Or you could use php to determine which pages the js shows on.

I do not know what box you are referring to but the only "lighter" area that I see is the body background
If this is what you want to change then in the templates stylesheet.css file find this and enter what ever color you want to replace the highlighted color

If you want to make css changes, the easiest way is to use chrome and the web developer tools. You can right click to inspect the element and it will tell you which line of which file you need to change.

I would like each of the categories to look exactly the way the home page does. With the products not in a "list" looking page...
