Migrate an existing mysql

Well after a couple of trial and error sessions I have come to this conclusion.

  1. Install the 1.3.8 because the V4 Book Mulitilanguage Product Type (BMPT) doesn't support 1.3.9.

  2. If you have been using a web hotel one click service or similar, check if the admin folder have been renamed from admin to something else.

  3. a If the admin is renamed. Rename the admin folder to just admin. Find the configurate.php in public_html\admin\includes\configure.php. You have to change the right on the configure.php to be able to change it or overwrite it. Don't forget to change back the rights. Change this sections so they looks like this.

define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/admin/');
define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/');
define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_ADMIN', '/admin/');
define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/');

define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', '/home/mystore.com/www/public/admin/');
define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/home/mystore.com/www/public/');

  1. Unzip the BMPT files to a folder. In the folder you will find many folders with different add ons. Open the 1_BOOK_MAIN_FILES folder and open the folder named catalogue. Use your ftp program to transfer the files to their corresponding places.
    admin to public_html/admin
    images to public_html/images
    include to public_html/includes

Choose overwrite when you are asked if you want to.

  1. Log in to your admin https://www.yourdomain.nu/admin and go to Tools and choose Install SQL patches. Upload the RUN_THIS_SQLPATCH_FOR_DATABASE located in the 1_BOOK_MAIN_FILES folder and hit RUN and then YES.

The zencart store should be updated with product type product_book now...

Re: Migrate an existing mysql

The store gets messed up like this. I think it could be the web hotel one click install automatic language configuration. Will try to install a pure English version and do all the steps again and last put the Swedish language on top... hope it works.
