Contact Us Errors

Hi,

After searching other similar posts, I am unable to resolve my problem.

Once a customer fills out the contact us information and selects send, they get the following errors:

Sorry, is your name correct? Our system requires a minimum of 2 characters. Please try again.
Sorry, my system does not understand your email address. Please try again.
Did you forget your message? We would like to hear from you. You can type your comments in the text area below.

What version of ZenCart
What are your email options settings

Where can this be seen?

What have you done to set your whole site to https?

Maybe an htaccess entry or??

It does not appear that you configured this in your ZenCart configure.php files

My configure.php shows:

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.theenchantedcottageshoppe.com');
define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://www.theenchantedcottageshoppe.com');
define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'http://www.theenchantedcottageshoppe.com');
define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', 'https://www.theenchantedcottageshoppe.com');

I figured that you did not set this in ZenCart

Have a look though as it redirects to https so this must be set somewhere else

I'm not sure what else to do, I thought the problem may be with the tpl_contact_us_default file so I uploaded a new copy but it didn't fix anything :dontgetit

do you have a .htaccess file at the root of your account?
If so, what are the contents

The rewrite info is https

Try removing it from that file or just rename it for a test

when I removed the .htaccess file, the contact us worked. So I guess it has something to do with https :dontgetit

ZenCart, if set correctly, is smart enough to auto switch to https when sensitive infomation is to be entered - login and payment.

Other than that you do not need and should not be using https

May I check with you how do you remove your shop name on the contact us page?? I could not find the code. Been searching for quite sometime.. Would appreciate any help greatly..

Hi, I am running the 1.3.9h versio of Zencart and I have a similar problem.

If I send an email from the admin area Tools-Send Email, no problem.

However the Contact us form is not working. The messages dissappear into the ether.

I am running an SSL certificate that covers my domain, but my shop is a level below the main domain i.e /mydomain.com/myeshop.

I have looked at the .htaccess file and there are no references to https.

Any ideas?
