Re: my admin is showing "Page not found"

Did you edit admin/includes/configure.php to reflect the new folder name ?

Re: my admin is showing "Page not found"

Did you try to view the file on the server for:
/your_secret_admin/includes/configure.php

to make sure it has these new settings? :unsure:

Re: my admin is showing "Page not found"

I am having a similar problem. my admin redirects to the HTTPS url. It is also untrusted. if you go to: hiddenhousecoffee.com/store/z-admin - you will notice that it directs you to the https url - with a red line through it (which does not exist.) doe this have something to do with the SSL setup? I'm confused - this is not the first zen cart I have setup. Also seems if I try this on other browsers for the first time, it asks if I am sure if I want to visit the site because it is untrusted. any help?

Re: my admin is showing "Page not found"

The error I get says that your certificate was issued to justhost.com.

Are you trying to use your host's shared certificate ?

Re: my admin is showing "Page not found"

I just did a normal install, and checked the "use SSL" box during installation. - I did this because the install said it detected SSL on my server. was I not supposed to do this? do I need to set SSL to false?

Re: my admin is showing "Page not found"

I actually just changed:

define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'true');
define('ENABLE_SSL_ADMIN', 'true');

to

define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'false');
define('ENABLE_SSL_ADMIN', 'false');

All seems to be working fine now...

Re: my admin is showing "Page not found"

Same answer as post #9. You need to ask justhost how to access their shared SSL certificate and follow the 'shared certificate' instructions in the tutorial I referenced, or (much better, IMO) buy your own certificate issued to your domain.

The error told me that your certificate has been issued to justhost.com.

Re: my admin is showing "Page not found"

Hello everyone!

I have the exact same problem as OP except I don't have any SSL certificate at all. My site is hxxp://www.agencemediaplus.ca
and when I try to login using my renamed admin folder it says:
"404 Not Found
The resource requested could not be found on this server!"

I follow to the letter the install instructions and I checked multiple times to make sure I didn't screw up and everything is done as told in the instructions. :frusty:

Any suggestions?

Re: my admin is showing "Page not found"

When you renamed the 'admin' folder did you also edit the 3 references to its name in admin/includes/configure.php?

Re: my admin is showing "Page not found"

Hi,
I set up the fourth site with zen cart and with this last one I have the same problem.
If I type https://www.mysite.com/myadmin I get page not found.
If I type https://www.mysite.com/myadmin/login.php it works perfectly showing the login page.
Clearly it is not a problem, I can work and load products and so on, but I wonder why I have this strange behaviour
I checked carefully the configure files, and they are perfect, on the other hand I could not access the admin area at all if they were not.

Any idea from the gurus?

ciao

Re: my admin is showing "Page not found"

I am in the same boat as many others it looks like. Fresh install - no admin link. Going to mysite/myzencartinstall/admin gets a page not found.

For "no thinking" software I have spent 2 hours working on it. This get a major 0 on the stars.

I have installed it using GoDaddy's install tool. It seems to have set the permissions, database and file names up correctly by the many tutorials I have read.

I have looked at the 3 different configuration.php files in various locations. If anyone has an idea let me know please as this has been a very disappointing project and I will only give it another hour before I bail and have another lifelong story of a bad software product.
