Not a joke. RewriteCond statements preceding a RewriteRule determine if the RewriteRule will run.

Go back and look at the list of RewriteCond statements in your .htaccess file. In the .htaccess file you posted you will see the following:

# Don't rewrite admin directory
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/backend [NC]

This line says "Do not rewrite any requests made to any URI which starts with /backend".

There are also some other RewriteCond statements in the .htaccess which may potentially impact other URLs you are using if they match and are thus excluded. You may wish to look through your URIs and make sure nothing else conflicts.

I've already been to your admin page.. so has lhungil.. I'm not going to post it.. but I'll be happy to post a screenprint if you are just INSISTING on proof.. We guessed it based on the issue you are having and the URI that you are having an issue with.. that's why we are telling you that if you change it that the issue you are having will go away.. You don't have to believe us, but instead of arguing why not try making the change we suggest..

dealing with you is like going to the dentist and asking him why your teeth hurt and he responds 'look it up online'.. i'd gladly give you a testimonial stating i'd never hire you.. i got to the answers i needed by persistence in the face of mocking and deriding. sure hope others on other threads are not this bad but i'm sure they are not as i've been doing this since 1979 and learned that there are always a small percentage of know it alls, who couldn't teach a first grader how to tie their shoes.. and this does not pertain to ANYONE else who tried to help me - some advice was good, some not but at least not condescending..

I forgot the last version failed to be uploaded as the downloads area has a problem with filesizes at the minute. Until this is sorted please get the latest version directly from the Ceon site.

Wanted to bump this post by Conor so folks know where to go to get the latest version of this module. This was never able to be uploaded to the downloads due to the filesize of the package.. Dunno how long Conor's site is gonna be up now that he's no longer with us.. I plan to contact the admins to see if they will work with me to get it uploaded to the free downloads section.. Not to sound insensitive or anything, but I was really looking forward to his Product Variants module.

If you are in contact with whomever is the caretaker of his estate, perhaps see if they are interested in releasing any code to the community?

Personally would like to see the Product Variants finished and expanded upon (if necessary, as his code was pretty all encompassing).

Diva is the most helpful person I know when it come to helping other people, But there is a limit to everything.
If people don't take time to read the thread just like you, you are not going to know how to solve a problem that others already had before you. Just like Diva it is hard to teach a first grader anything unless he listens to what you have to say. Sometime they still don't learn and the teacher has to call in a specialist to get the job done. That means you have to pay someone.

I have no direct connection with Conor's estate.. I too hope to see his work carried on and I too was looking forward to seeing his products variants module being released.. I was simply trying to be a good citizen here and doing what I know Conor would want done.. I was given a temporary limit increase to submit his last version. It should be available in a day or two.. i can see i upset this little 'clique' of liberals.. typical responses.. you're really not helping anyone by telling them to read something.. that's not the purpose of a forum - it's to get answers.. it would like the teacher telling the student to read the book when they didn't know how to do something, instead of just helping them.. but i'm speaking a different language here as i don't speak liberal.. i got what i wanted and now off to continue making a living and hiring people - something you people have no idea of..
