USPS shipping server is down

The USPS shipping module is not returning any results. When I click on update it pauses for some time and then returns no results. The last time I know that it was working was at around 12 noon CST today.

Anyone else seeing this?

Yes, its still down. We only have USPS Priority Enabled. I tried enabling USPS first class, but it too returned no results.

We have made no changes to our site in months. Using version 1.3.9e

For giggles, if you want to PM me your USER ID I can see if it is working ... but I cannot repeat the problem on several sites that I tested ...

Could you turn on UPS and test that just for giggles and grins? :unsure:

I turned on UPS ground. Hit update and the UPS module returned valid results. USPS remained dead.

Go to your Tools ... Developers Tool Kit ... and in the bottom onput box enter:
usps.php

what comes up? :unsure:

The lowest box is "Look-up in all files"

Is that the one?
It has an associated field "File type" which is set to .php only

I pluged "usps.php" into the "key or name" field and the response was
"Error: No matching Configuration keyws were found...usps.php"

Could you do that again, and this time select Catalog from the dropdown before clicking SEARCH ...

THere was another associated menu "All Files look-ups" I changed it from none to "All Files Catalog/Admin"

Then the results were:

This is old, out of date code for USPS since January 22, 2012 ... :eek:

NOTE: I do not see that your FedEx is working ... it may say FedEx, but there is nothing to select for it ...

Fedex is only active for International orders.

I will follow the link, but why would it choose today to stop working?

I followed the steps.
The new USPS module has more config options, so it seems to have installed.

However, it still does not work.
I'm going to redo the install in hopes I screwed it up somehow.

Also do the search in the Developers Tool Kit, when you think that you are done, and see what comes up ...

I confirmed that the two new usps.php files are out on the server.

The developers Tool kit search returns:
