I am having an issue with the template files not loading in internet explorer. They load fine in Chrome and Firefox but for some reason they do not in Explorer.

The homepage is fine it is when you attempt to load a product page

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is native zen cart behaviour. If you want the new products page to appear in a grid, you can install the snaf module.

Thanks,

Anne

Hi Anne
I found the SNAF mod, and during the install had to be very careful because I also had a Gallery Category mod installed so I had to merge the SNAF includes/modules/newport_eco/product_listing.php with my Gallery Category add ons for that file.

The SNAF module still isn't working correctly, so I'm posting this question on the SNAF support thread as well, but I read on that thread that other people have had problems with one of your templates with the mods you include and the SNAF module. Has anyone mentioned this to you in the past, or do you have any ideas of what I could change to get the newport eco template and the SNAF mod to play nice?

My website is https://www.mgsdesigns.net/store and you can see it now set in "column" mode, it still shows rows, though the dashed borders show up as if there are columns. When I put the product listing into "row" mode, the only difference is where the dashed borders appear.

Thank you in advance for any thoughts you may have on this!

Melissa

There is no conflict with any correctly installed stable module and the templates. If the module and the template have the same files you need to carefully merge the changes.

There are a few modules installed in the templates that would effect the product listing page--column layout grid and column divider pro

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Newport Eco Template Support Thread

Hello,

This template is excellent and I love it, customizing the site has been pretty easy, but I am having a couple of issues that I can't figure out.

I can't figure out in what file should I put the code for a favicon.

I can't figure out how to change the code or write different code so that the generated links for the products have a different color(now white which matches the site hyperlinks(making the products name impossible to see unless hovering) to black.

http://moniqueshoestudio.com/store/

Thank you for any help you can give me

If you do a search in the FAQ's section of this site there is a tutorial about how to add your favicon.

When you changed the link color in the sideboxes, you changed the link colors of everything on the template. This is not correct. You need to restore the original css code for the links. If you want the sidebox links to be white you need to edit the stylesheet_betterCategoriesEZInfo.css file.

Thanks,

Anne

Thanx, That helped alot.

One more question, how do I changed the visited color on footer without changing the code for the rest of the site, I want it to be white to match the rest of the footer instead of grey.

You need to edit the stylesheet_footer_menu.css file.

If you do a search in the FAQ's section you will find tutorials that show you how to remove these from the sidebox. ;-)

Thanks,

Re: Newport Eco Template Support Thread

Thanks for the great template :)

I had posted this question generally and it was suggested that I ask in the template-specific thread:

I'm building a new 1.5.1 zen cart site using the Newport Eco template. In a previous version of this site I used the Apple Zen template. One thing I liked about the Apple Zen site was the clarified, step-by-step checkout process. Each step graphically moved the customer through the process using this type of image at the top of the page:
Attachment 12295
Is there any chance that you might add this checkout progress feature as a stand-alone mod?

Thanks again.

Thanks :)

If you do a search in the plugins section you will find a module called something like order steps or checkout steps that does this ;-)

Thanks,

Anne

Perfect - Thank you!
FYI: Of the two Order Steps add-ons, I found that Order Steps Edition 2 worked best with Zen 1.5.1. Order Steps - Tableless was more problematic.

This is not a template specific problem. I would recommend doing a search on the forum for how to add the facebook like code to your site. This question has been asked and answered already on the forum.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Newport Eco Template Support Thread

Im a setting out my website with this template the website is at https://www.stationeryjam.com/shields

I changed the slider banner image height in the CSS but on the website the rest of the content does not auto adjust as you can see it is overlapping. What must I do to fix that issue.

You should not be posting your question to multiple threads. I have already replied to a duplicate of this post.

Thanks,
