I think i figured out the screwup on my end i uploaded the same config file somehow to both sections Thanks for bringing up the files

cause i wouldn't have compared them in winmerge and noticed they were the exact same. So hopfully that fixes my

Maybe this bandage will work temporarily: In your configure.php files, set the SQL_CACHE_METHOD to none:

That's typical of having invalid /includes/configure.php file contents.

file permissions changed to write only for some reason

Haven't used that version of EP. Probably never will, especially since a newer one is available, written specifically for v1.5.x and newer.

ok what one should i use im not attached to any of them ill use a different one i just want one that works

i removed all the easy populate files and the easy populate is still in the configuration drop down ??

There's another bug. The original fix didn't take table-prefixes into account.
