It works but the rates are way too high. I only allow USPS Priority, but online for 01904 to 94534 quotes $9.03, Zencart quotes $15.25? What is going on?

I have to add that this rate comes back the same way with the older module as well. The older module is still working for just basic priority mail options. I guess all the new implementations are for all the extra stuff one can offer. If just plain Priority Mail is used should we even bother updating? Are the actual rates the module pulls in this mod or pulled from USPS? I thought it comes from USPS.

I checked my admin -> configuration -> shipping and all is well but if I quote from for 01904 to 94534, the rates are way off as outlined in my previous post. What else can I check? Also, I would love to give the commercial rate as well. If the USPS label $ is lower then what customer paid, we are asking for unhappy customers.

What weight are you testing on this?

What are your settings in the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ...

Do you have any handling added?

I have set it to add 10% weight (10:0). So my 2lbs item is quoted at 2.2lbs (3lbs rate). No handling fees. Interesting is that rates going to closer destinations are way less off and reflect the difference between Commercial and Post Office rates. You may try to put an item in the cart and try the quote. Try this one:

Or are we assuming that it is correct and all of us have the wrong settings in our admin? Even though everything was fine before we upgraded to this new version of the plugin. I don't know what to tell my customers, but I can tell I am loosing sales right and left because the shipping is screwed up. For the most part, the Priority quote that my customers are getting is correct. But I am sure most do not want that. They either want Parcel or Standard and the price must be wrong for that part of the quote. The interesting thing is that this is forcing a lot of my customers to choose UPS vs USPS. So if the plugin is correct, the USPS is hurting themselves with this new system by chasing customers away.

We are looking further into this as USPS is only now releasing some current documentation ...

Would it be possible to have a setting for Commercial rates? That is what my stamps.com account in Quickbooks prints on the shipping label.

I know we have several USPS threads going. Are you going to put updates on this issue here or otherwise let us know where? It's a real business buster, the wrong rates. Hope this can be resolved soon. Also, let me know if a commercial rate setting is planned too. Thanks.

We are currently working on a RateV4 that gives the feature for Online and Retail rates which should help resolve several of the pricing issues and differences to better match the rates at USPS.com ...

Thank you Linda, that is indeed good news. I think you will make many happy by making Online (commercial) rates available. But most important is that the rates get calculated right.

Looks pretty slick! I was checking International rates vs USPS.com and for some reason First Class International postage was consistently coming in a little low, easily enough handled by attaching a handling fee, but not sure if anyone else has observed this issue.

I selected Online Rates and tried even a few weights just in case I had my weight calculation off (I don't usually show shipping rate in my cart).
