PayPal Payments Standard just stopped working

Not true, at least in the US. Paypal Express customers can pay without creating a Paypal account.

Disregard previous two posts. I went into the template for the cart and disabled the link and image for PayPal Express checkout so they have to go through the cart and they can check out the same way.

Thanks for confirming that PayPal Express Checkout does indeed solve your problems, and that customers DO NOT need to create a PayPal account in order to use Express Checkout.

(And in fact they DO NOT need to create a PayPal account even when they use the orange PayPal button on the shopping cart, even if you'd left that button turned on.)
