shipping charge added to paypal before deails entered

I have just added the Paypal express module to my nebulus site. At the moment the cart page shows both the original and the paypal checkout button. I intend to remove the non-paypal one (Is this easy to do?) but my immediate problem is that paypal takes all the details from the customer without showing the shipping charge and then sends customer back to my site where he is confronted with the charge. Surely its possible for the cart to show shipping cost automatically? It can't be right to show the full invoice cost only after credit card details have been processed. Any help anywhere? Thanks

True. But you're misunderstanding how it works. It's not processing the card at that point at all.
The card isn't processed/charged until after the customer clicks "confirm" on the last page of checkout on your site, after returning from PayPal.

To minimize some confusion, simply go into your store's Admin, into your PayPal Express module's settings and turn off the EC Shortcut Button.

Will allowing PayPal, as an option, to manage the cart login process prior to checkout reduce or eliminate this issue when PayPal gets around to making the service available so that it could be incorporated into the code?
