Hi Raymond
Just a newbie question, How does the browser or phone know what size the screen is or is this done in a dynamic environment.
The traditional (HTML TABLES) that stock Zen Cart uses is converted to (DIV's) only in 1 file, the tpl_main_page.php
By using (DIV's) we are able to use CSS to control the widths of the (3) main columns, the left column, the center column and the right column.
CSS media queries consist of a media type and can, as of the CSS3 specification, contain one or more expressions, expressed as media features, which resolve to either true or false. The result of the query is true if the media type specified in the media query matches the type of device (width of device) the site is being displayed on and all expressions in the media query are true.
To fully understand I recommend taking 5 minutes to Google "css media queries".
I also include the meta name=viewport in the html_header.php file to help with the width resizing based on width of device.
To fully understand I recommend taking 5 minutes to Google "viewport meta tag".
I only suggest doing research because it will help you understand how the content on your website is moved around, re-sized and changed about.

also do you need to do a new site/store.
The code provided has been proven to work on existing templates, simply merging the code shouldn't affect your templates current layout.
Running the sql file adds an ADMIN configuration to activate (convert) the HTML Tables to DIV's
Some sites will convert easier than others, this depends allot on the (APPEARANCE) modules installed, any added fixed widths set in your stylesheet or hard coded in your PHP files.
I recommend coping your site to a sub folder and testing that way.
