Blank Discounts stopped working

Does anyone know why my blank discounts would stop working? An hour ago, the discounts were working perfectly, now they do not work at all. I have not changed anything, so this is a mystery. Very frustrating to have things working then, magically something changes for no apparent reason. Thank, Kelley

I think it happened when moved the products to a new category. Will update in a few minutes.

Yes, that is what happened, Had to delete the whole category and re-add it. So BE CAREFUL if moving products!

This is beyond bizarre. It was working after I re-built the category and the product, then it stopped working again. This must be some kind of bug.

Are we looking at the same list? No telling how many mods there are out there that would come into play. Why is it always such a problem getting folks to give out information?

Who did the moving? Me, I, he, she, etc? Did you follow any tutorial?

I should have posted this info with my question. Zencart version 1.5.1; no upgrades. PHP= 5.3.24 (Zend: 2.3.0). My SQL = client API 5.5.19. Add-on/plugins: usps shipping module activated/production mode & working perfectly; free shipping module activated & set to offer free shipping for any order totaling $150 or more & working perfectly.
The odd thing is the blank discounts were working, then stopped. I originally thought the problem started when I moved a product to a different category, but after deleting that product then adding it again, it worked one time then stopped working again. So I deleted the product again re-added it again, and it does not work. This is not related to any settings in the price manager - I have checked them all, everything is set correctly. I have read the tutorials on how to do this and as I said, it was working before and is not apparently related to any changes on my part. Thanks to anyone who can help! Kelley

Okay, that last post had a trailing piece of a sentence pasted at the end, after the images. Sorry about that.

When you add the blanks ... only the ones with quantities are saved ... the blanks are suppose to disappear when you hit update, and only if you have them marked with the Discount Type: chosen, then none will show even if completed ...

Now, after you hit UPDATE and you see in your Admin the Discounts, and do not see them in the Catalog ... then we need to start looking further to see why ...

Not sure I understand what you mean, but what's so odd is that it was working and now it's not. Thanks for answering. Maybe tomorrow after sleeping I will realize I've just done something careless.

Okay, yes, they show in the price manager after hitting update, and they show up in the box of quantity discounts shown on the product page, but they are not getting applied in the shopping cart.

What I am trying to convey is ... if you go to Product Price Manager and hit EDIT and then hit the ADD BLANK DISCOUNTS ... then just hit UPDATE they will all disappear as they were not filled in ...

If you hit CANCEL and they do not disappear, then next time you hit EDIT and UPDATE on that Product, all Discount Prices will disappear that are not filled in ...

The idea is, unless you fill in the Discount Quantities then there is no point in keeping the Discount Quantities in the database ...

So my question is ... how are "you" adding "blank quanties" ...

This may be a clue, I a new product and the discounts are working for it. Again, these discounts were set using the price manager, and the blank discounts. The test product is a product in a category, but the one that is not working is a product in a category within another category - guess that would be a product in a subcategory. I'm going to add another product in a subcategory and see what happens.

It stopped working without me adding or updating I think. Anyway, they are still showing in the boxes, so wouldn't they still be there? Let me do a couple of tests and I'll post the results. Thank you so much.

It doesn't matter whether it is a product in category or in a subcategory, so that's not the issue. It must be something like what you are saying about the "way" I was adding the discounts. Let me just delete the problem product and start over with that one and see what happens. Hang on.

forgot to answer how I'm adding the discounts. I am following a tutorial -the wiki I think is where I got the tutorial. Okay, that is bizarre. The discounts will not work on that one product. Could it be the actual name of the product? I'll try calling it something else this time.:dontgetit

No, still not working. So how can it work with one product and not another. Going to try deleting the category and renaming it something else.
