IP Blocker for v1.5.x

The file structure for the plugin is fully documented within the Installation section of the plugin's readme.html file. Did you look to see if there were any myDEBUG*.log files?

Re: IP Blocker for v1.5.x

v2.1.2 is now available from the Plugins area. The update provides downwardly-compatible changes required for Zen Cart v1.5.4.

Re: IP Blocker for v1.5.x

I have installed this in to v1.5.4. It does work but with only one problem; When you click on the Block this IP it is not added to the block list. Fault log > PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function ip_blocker_installed() in /homepages/20/d503465712/htdocs/****s/m*****p/backoffice/ip_blocker.php on line 225 When I have a look at the php file there are only 178 lines

What a fool I have been. For some reason one file did not upload. Done that; all OK and working with v1.5.4

Happens now and then, FTP transfers can result in corrupted files or won't up/download at all.

Re: IP Blocker for v1.5.x

Functionality question:

IP Blocker v2.1.2 uploaded to zc v1.5.4 and overwrite v2.1.0
IP Blocker indicates v2.1.0
No new setup performed, nor required?

Visit website using TOR browser for the sole purpose of getting a random IP address.
View who's online while TOR browser is active.
Block that IP
TOR browser session continues to be active as though nothing blocked.

Should that IP address be presented with the special_login from that point forward?
OR
the IP address will be presented with the special_login on any session in the future?
OR
brainfart on my part?

Re: IP Blocker for v1.5.x

Rick, there's a session-variable set to indicate that the current IP's address is to be allowed access. Once that's set, the session associated with the IP must expire prior to that IP address being blocked.

Net-net: the IP address will be presented with the special_login on any session in the future.

Re: IP Blocker for v1.5.x

I've just submitted v2.1.3 to the plugins for review; that version is compatible with Zen Cart v1.5.0 through v1.5.5.

Re: IP Blocker for v1.5.x

You'd need to look up the IP address ranges assigned to that country and enter each range within the plugin's admin tool.

And then periodically verify that the range(s) still apply.

Re: IP Blocker for v1.5.x

Thanks @lat9 for the plugin.

Would like to add a phone number on the special_login page so that people coming across would see that, if you have a moment i would appreciate if you can help me add a line of text there. (maybe it can also be implemented as an option in admin to add a message, i think many users would make use of it)

Re: IP Blocker for v1.5.x

@ShopVille, you'll need to edit the /special_login.php file (it's in the "root" of your store's file-system), towards the bottom of the file.

Find the following section

<div class="d_w">
  <div class="d_t">Login to continue ...</div>
  <form action="" name="i_l" method="POST" target="_self">
    <div class="d_p">Password:   <input type="password" name="pwd" size="35" value="" />   <input type="submit" value="Login" /></div>

and add a <p></p> grouping to contain your custom text:

<div class="d_w">
  <p>Any questions? Call xxx yyy-zzzz for more information.</p>
  <div class="d_t">Login to continue ...</div>
  <form action="" name="i_l" method="POST" target="_self">
    <div class="d_p">Password:   <input type="password" name="pwd" size="35" value="" />   <input type="submit" value="Login" /></div>

Re: IP Blocker for v1.5.x

Why not just put the site into maintenance mode and then create "pin-holes" for your developer IPs?
