Winchester Responsive

Dear Anne

I'm sruggling with the Facebook sharing of a product - as soon as I share, it seems to insert Zencart and Winchester responsive text all over the post (see below). I have done everything according to the installation instructions and more, but I cannot seem to figure out why these three things are still appearing in three places (subject, body and footer), can you please point me in the right direction?

Attachment #15330

Thanks

Cliff

Re: Winchester Responsive

Anne - (Winchester Responsive)

I have also noticed that unlike with my previous template, I cannot use the "grid" layout, it seems to default to a drop down menu even if the attribute type is grid

So i have a need to have a grid as follows:

Ticket type Qty
Adult
Concession
Child

And then a user simply enter the quantity required for each and presses Add to Cart and all are added to the cart that were selected.
How can I achieve this with Winchester Responsive please?

Thanks

Cliff

You need to change your site title and tagline.

Thanks,

Anne

If you want to customize the social media links in the footer, see the instructions in the readme.html file.

That is not native zen cart functionality. As with any plugin, if there are files in the override folder, they need to be copied to the new template override folder if you want them to work.

Thanks,

Anne

Anne, as I said, I DID change that and the site title is correctly displayed on the site, but the Facebook post is not...

I changed all the language files, exacty as you describe in the documentation. All of them...

I changed the meta_tags.php files under languages/english/ and languages/english/winchester_responsive/ to:

// page title
define('TITLE', 'Surrey Music Official Box Office');

// Site Tagline
define('SITE_TAGLINE', 'Music with a heart!l');

Anne as you can see below, when using Firefox to inspect the page data before pressing the facebook share button, all the site titles are correct.

Re: Winchester Responsive

Another interesting thing I just found out - it only happens on the items in one category - other categories are all correct... This is very intriguing. What can it be do you think?

If you post a link to the pages on your site with this problem I can take a look.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Winchester Responsive

Anne

Another serious error has come up. When a person tries to check out, and tries to log in, the site returns a serious internal error. I checked the server log and the error message is:

File does not exist: ....includes/templates/winchester_responsive/jscript/jquery-1.4.4.min.js, referer: index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=81&number_of_uploads=0

I loked in the distribution package but there is o such file as jquery-1.4.4min.js either

We are on a live site so would appreciate your urgent reposnse

Thanks

Re: Winchester Responsive

Anne

It would seem to me that the logging in to checkout I reported issue has something to do with SSL for this template as the server error log sees not to be able to find pages beginning with https:// - Is there some setting in the template that I have missed as we never had this iussue with the old template.

Thanks

Re: Winchester Responsive

Anne, I selected a differnt template, then reselected Winchester Responsive, and now the logging in process works fine. Gosh, not sure why this happened.. Anyway that issue is fixed now.

Sorry for the many postings..

Cheers

Ok, the error is back - when I disable SSL then customers can log in, but when it is enabled again, customers cannot log in...

I checked and the SSL certificate is fine as I can actually go to https:??ticketbasket.co.uk, but no client can log in to checkout..Hel

Help please...?

Thanks

Re: Winchester Responsive

Anne

I have asked my host and our certificates are fine. I then reverted to my old template and it also works fine, so it does defintely seem that there is a problem with logging on to SSL in this template, I cannot think of any other way to try and fix it..

Cheers

There is no problem using this template with ssl. There are a few places in the template that will need to be changed from http_server to https_server.

Thanks,

Anne
