Small issue for installs on very old Zen Cart installations (1.5.5, 1.5.6) - the constant FILENAME_PLUGIN_MANAGER isn't defined, so the reference in admin/includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/uspsr.php on line 42 will fail.

Shocked I let that one get by. I'll start working on patching it out.

I have a fix pending for this one. As a band aid, you can simply open /admin/includes/language/shipping/english/uspsr.php (you don't need to make it in the lang.uspsr.php version but you can make a similar change.

Change line 42 so that it reads:

For the lang.uspsr.php version, change line 51 so that is reads:

I think your prayers have been answered. I just ran a sample call in Postman, I'm getting valid results again. I'm still going to add a zero check to prevent it from adding $0.00 base prices to the output call.

The USPS shipping quote is normal today. It is so bad that this issue was happened during the weekend. Hopefully this glitch will not happen again...

I'm thinking, maybe it is worthy to add a fallback section in the code, so when the quoted rate is too low (like below $5), it will display a fixed quote with a very high rate (like $100). So the customer will disregard the crazy USPS quote and choose a different shipping carrier option (like FedEx/UPS). It is less likely that all shipping carriers' API are down at the same time.

I have something like that in the works. Effectively, if the module gets a $0.00 base quote (meaning before add-ons like Certified Mail and what not), that method in particular will not show. Additionally, it will show an error of "I'm sorry, there are no suitable methods using this method. If you wish to use USPS, please contact the store manager and see what can be arranged."

Although I might just make it disable USPS altogether if that was the case. This should be up sometime today or tomorrow on the Github and submitted to the ZenCart directory soon thereafter.

Hi retched, I think your solution is better than mine. Maybe it is better to disable/hide this plug-in from the checkout page, when the shipping quote is zero.

I am seeing $0 quotes as well from the weekend (although it sounds like no additional confirmation is needed).

Now submitted to the Plugin Directory, module version 1.8.6. Note the following changes.

Additionally, beginning with this release the purge_uspsr.php script has been included in the "extras" directory of the archive. To use this, upload the file and run /extras/purge_uspsr.php in your browser and follow the prompts. (Be sure to edit the file as well and DO NOT upload this if you are not going to use it. There is an admin version available at /YOUR_ADMIN/index.php?cmd=uspsr_purge.php. This script will, as it is named, purge the USPSr off of your catalog by removing all database keys/values and files relating to it.

• Fixed undefined constant warning that appeared in earlier versions of ZenCart (no Plugin Manager). [#137]
• Fixed an issue regarding the list of zip codes in the USPS Local. (Also added the ability to provide ranges of Zip Codes.) [#135]
• Fixed an issue caused by bad returns from the USPS API that would generate possible $0.00 quotes for shipping methods when it didn't apply. [#139]
• Fixed an issue that could cause the module to output a blank when there was no weight. Now the module will self cancel itself if the total items weight is zero or less. (A reminder that your items should have weights to them.)
