Mzmt Sql

I'm trying to execute the zone sql statements for my MZMT. I have the basic MZMT files copied over and the module is installed.

I am receiving errors when running the US geo zone sql.

When I run the script through zencart admin/tools/Install SQL patches I receive the following error: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'geo_zones` VALUES ('', 'Shp: United States: 48', 'United States: Continental 48' at line 1

Merlinpa1969 advised that I should run the scripts through phpMyAdmin, this did not work either.

I then received this error: #1146 - Table geo_zones doesn't exist

I looked through my tables and I have a zen_geo_zones table, but not a geo_zones table.

Is there something I need to change in the script or is there something I forgot to do?

The only thing I can think of is in the setup instructions it states that the pre defined zones are set up with "shp" at the beginning of the filename.

I'm just not sure.

Re: Mzmt Sql

Table geo_zones doesn't exist - that is correct because you used the default prefix of zen_ - the sql was designed for use through the admin section which automagically appends zen_

Open the SQL in your fav editor and alter the table name to zen_geo_zones and run through phpMyAdmin - that should run the query ok

Re: Mzmt Sql

rather that trying to use phpmyadmin to insert use the sql updater in the zen cart admin under tools

the bterry_
is the database name

the zen_ is the table name

you are recieving this error in phpmyadmin because of the db prefix
zen cart sql updater will add this prefix for you

Re: Mzmt Sql

Hi all,

I use MZMT shipping module. I am just wondering how does it select the default radio button. For instance, I use 2 tables for each state. One table is for regular post and the other table for registered post. Obviously, registered postage is a bit more expensive than the regular. In my checkout, I display registered post first, then regular post below that. The regular post is selected (checked) by default. I would like to have registered post selected by default. How do I achieve this? I guess mzmt is set up to select the cheaper option by default. I went through mzmt source code but couldnt quite find the solution. Please let me know if any of you are aware of this. Thanks a lot!

No it does not. Zen Cart selects the cheapest option by default.

Re: Mzmt Sql

Hi,
I just installed MZMt and configured it with the pre-built GeoZones. (I created my own GeoZone for Canada).

Configured my tables for price (not weight) as follows:

62.99:6.50,99.99:8.50,199.99:12,299.99:15,300:20

My problem is that when I ship to a Canadian address the shipping method only shows the handling fee of $7.00 and not the rest of the rate for the price of the order. If I delete the handling fee, the shipping charge is $0.00.

Next, if I select a US address, it charges $0.00 and the shipping estimator in the cart shows:
United Parcel Service (UPS) (Ground) $0.00
I don't have the UPS module installed.

My last issue, is that i need a way to have an expedited shipping charge, but I'm not using a specific module (fedex/usps/ups), I had it set up using table rate with an additional charge of $12.00 (prior to installing MZMT).

Anyone offer some help please?

According to your table, I must order at least $62.99 to be charged for shipping.

The name of the shipping method comes from the language file.

Use multiple tables for multiple shipping methods. In the current version, it is best to think of each table as a shipping method (to a specific destination).

Re: Mzmt Sql

Hi,

Thanks... those were all my issues. I misunderstood in the FAQ the >= vs. <=, my own fault.

And, I edited the mzmt.php file and everything seems good now.

Thanks,

Brad

Re: Mzmt Sql

I have a few MZMT questions.

  1. I'm getting this error:
Warning: constant(): Couldn't find constant MODULE_SHIPPING_MZMT_GEOZONE_4_TEXT_TITLE in /home/tropic1/public_html/includes/modules/shipping/mzmt.php on line 67

Warning: constant(): Couldn't find constant MODULE_SHIPPING_MZMT_GEOZONE_4_TABLE_1_TEXT_WAY in /home/tropic1/public_html/includes/modules/shipping/mzmt.php on line 125

Warning: constant(): Couldn't find constant MODULE_SHIPPING_MZMT_GEOZONE_4_ICON in /home/tropic1/public_html/includes/modules/shipping/mzmt.php on line 134

I read through the documentation on Dreamscape's page, so I know that this is what I need to do:
"If you do more than 3 geo zones or more than 3 tables, you will need to add more language defines to the module's language file. These follow the pattern of:
MODULE_SHIPPING_MZMT_GEOZONE_$n_TEXT_TITLE
MODULE_SHIPPING_MZMT_GEOZONE_$n_ICON
MODULE_SHIPPING_MZMT_GEOZONE_$n_TABLE_$j_TEXT_WAY

where:
$n = geo zone number (in the shipping module) and
$j = table number"

But I can't find where to do that! :(

2nd question. How do I configure it so that items under 100lbs only show up w/ UPS, over 100lbs, flat rate for 1 of 4 zones, and no possibility of UPS?

Thanks :)

Re: Mzmt Sql

yes, I was all over the MZMT.php file -- I'm just nto sure where in that file to do it. I didn't want to mess up the entire shipping module up :)

Re: Mzmt Sql

I finally got MZMT working- guess I was looking to add the Zones description in the wrong MZMT.php.... Now it works... but when I try to order from California, it tells me that "we are not currently shipping to your area"-

I made sure to remove, then reinstall the MZMT module inside shipping modules.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this?

Re: Mzmt Sql

Does anyone know if MZMT is compatible with 1.3.5? Everytime I try a new table, it changes to yellow dot on the indicator instead of green.

Re: Mzmt Sql

Hi,

I'm trying to set up geozone rates according to the postal office brochure. From the looks of it, it's basically an issue of fixed rate + variable rate, so it's pretty easy as i utilize the % function for the variable rate and charge the fixed rate using the geozone admin handling charge.

ie.

this is my table for shipping to USA (i count in grams, not kg)

Geo Zone 5 Handling Fee
0.24

Geo Zone 5 Shipping Table 1
0:0.56,21:2.8%

Which pretty much fits the postal rate of 80cent (first 20 grams) + 28 cents for each additional 10 grams my postal office charges.

However, now I wish to offer registered mail with this service too. Registered Mail basically adds a tracking number to the order for a fee of $2. The simplest way is obviously to increase handling fee by $2. I thought of creating a Geozone 6 for this, however, Geozone 6 will not show up during checkout. Only Geozone 5. Any ideas?

I'm temporarily using this insurance module to cover the lack for it, but I wish to have a solution as I plan to offer shipping by see and courier too, and they use the same concept too.

Thanx in advance!

Re: Mzmt Sql

Hi.

Geo zones cannot overlap.

Both "inner adding" and "per every" factors will be possible in the next version, i.e, you can use "$0.80 + $0.28 / 10" which resolves to the rate of "80 cents plus 28 cents per every 10"

I am beta testing the next version right now, so if you are interested in being a tester just PM me.

http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25355&highlight=mzmt

In the above archived thread, I asked whether the terrific MZMT shipping module can split out shipping options based on weight. dreamscape mentioned that this was being worked on. Is there a way to do this now?

Many thanks :-)

Re: Mzmt Sql

Im creating a site to sell shoes ..

ive never used the canada post module before. Does it automatically calculate shipping based on location and weight ?

my other option is setting a cost for canada and international using mzmt.

What do you recommend ?
