Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's

BlessIsaacola:

Here is the link to the patches already nicely packaged. Please notice that this patch doesn't include the code change for the issues relating to paypal expres.

http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35034&page=70 The link about is post #693.

thank you so much with this help!

but i don't know why i still have the same problem!!!

HOME: Page Not Found

even when i enter the URL only!

i downloaded the Beta1 again, applied the patched put the paypal IPN code again, its fine!

my .htaccess is this:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /

# Seo Urls version 3.x
# Don't rewrite real files or directories
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ index\.php?seo_url=$1&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]

now why do i still get the Page not found page?

is it because i have Data Base?

regards

Saher

Who peed in you cornflakes this morning? The link that your referring to is about 15 - 20 posts back and is not labeled seo_urls_3.0 or anything as such, which is why I missed it originally. Didnt mean to upset you. lol

there is a Patch for the advanced search file you can find it on the

http://bugs.smarterwebdev.com

after you register you can find it there check it out!

Dear BlessIsaacola

these are my options in the admin side:

Seo Urls Status On
301 Redirection Status On Page Base
Default Extension .html Url Plugins Core: Advanced Search, Core: Advanced Search: Result, Core: Category, Core: EZ Pages, Core: Manufacturer, Core: Product, Core: Product: Image, Core: Product: Reviews, Core: Product: Reviews: Info, Core: Product: Reviews: Write, Core: Default: Skip SSL, Core: Default, Core: Default Skips Character Plugins Format: Strip Invalid

but now they are off because i want to keep the site running despite i didn't connect the paypal ipn or any other payment module!

any idea?

my host accept mod rewrite... i can't figure out the problem here at all!!!!

best regards

Amy,
I must say that I have spent a good amount of time checking and double checking my settings, following the installation guide and i still can NOT get it to work.
I get HOME: Page Not Found with a list of all the pages. URLs are working just find (i.e. t-shirts-c-65.html).
How far did you get on the installation?

I'm taking a lunch break and I'll come back later to keep checking on solutions for this.

Thanks Amy.

which numbers?
you mean like the c-17-12.html ??

i think the only one who can answer this is Chemo "Josh"

but as far as i know, this is the number to tell the core or the mechanism in the site about the core URL, its taken from the core code, or the number of the product itself, i don't know if you can change it with the product name that will be more complex but still you have to check out with Chemo...

thats exactly what happens to me

and i really spent very long time to get it work but no way!

don't know what to do

the only thin that i'm thinking about is that i noticed one difference between my settings and other's settings which they had it working on their site

is that i used the database method to store the information while he used FILE instead of it, this option you can find it in the configuration file.

despite that DrByte said that it doesn't matter, that is the only difference i found!

what do you think about it guys?

Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's

Saher,
I know for sure that I'm using file cache.
I don't think that's the problem.

I'm lucky to have a test server before I go live with an online shop.

Keep up the good work and please give us a solution.

Thanks.

Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's

I am trying to get this working on my hardwoodcanes.com website, and I followed the instructions exactly the way I did on my other site, and "Seo Urls 3.0.0-beta1" is not showing up on my configuration tab in the admin. I've deleted my browser cache, tried to reinstall, double checked my html_output.php file.... I cant figure out what's causing it to just not show up.

Any ideas?

Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's

I guess I just needed to give it time. It's showing now. However, whenever I enable the mod, the only page that will load is a site index with a 404 error, and if I click any product, I get "No input file specified." It is correctly translating the url though! I guess that's good. The settings are set the same as my other site... only difference is one site is being hosted on camelot (the site that works) and the other site is being hosted by go daddy ( the one that don't work ).

Thank you for any help.

Is the Rewrite Module installed/configured correctly on your account with GoDaddy?

Seems to be. It's set up the same as my other site, and that one is working.

Is this rewrite module you speak of different than the seourl-3.00beta1 that I installed?

Is this rewrite module you speak of different than the seourl-3.00beta1 that I installed? Apache Rewrite Module is something that your host need to configure in other for rewrite functionality to work as expected.

Since the only difference between the site that works and the one that doesn't is the host, I am just thinking that perhaps it has something to do with configuration issues.

Obviously, Merlin is familiar with Zen Cart inside out and he is a certified Zen Cart host. If it's working on one site and everything is installed the same way, you should check in with your host (where it's not working).

Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's

BlessIsaacola:

It appears this is the portion of the code creating the problem but I am not sure what to change.

/**
* zen cart attributes use illegal url characters
*/
if ($this->isAttributeUri($uri) && !preg_match('/https?/', $parsedUri['scheme'])) {
$parsedUriTmp = $parsedUri;
$parsedUri = parse_url($parsedUriTmp['scheme']);
$parsedUri['query'] = preg_replace('/products_id=([0-9]+)/',
'products_id=$1:' . $parsedUriTmp['path'], $parsedUri['query']);
}

		$this->doRedirection($parsedUri['query']);
	}

Has anyone figured out the attribute problem? Thanks!
