Google SitemapAdmin

StoryBook:

The reference to Google Analytics in the install instructions is bogus. Just skip that step and all will be well.

Maybe someday someone will update the install info for this mod???

Why would you not do this?

Re: Google SitemapAdmin

But where do I find this file? It seems to work great even without applying it but I'm curios if I'm missing something here.

Thanks,
Daniel

Re: Google SitemapAdmin

I'm getting the following 500 error when I attempt to create the sitemap in Google XML Sitemap Admin:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I searched this thread for this partucular error without success.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Re: Google SitemapAdmin

Well I got mine to run but its on Linux. I also have a windows server running and I will say to those folks that it really sounds like a permissions problem and thats why its hanging.

Re: Google SitemapAdmin

Permissions have been set proper, however i am not convinced that it is a OS related issue. Had no issues with the previous version of the mod.
The file generation start properly displaying the start, version & path the files will be generated.
It just stays there for ever.

Re: Google SitemapAdmin

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for this contribution. I've recently upgraded to the latest version, but am having an issue with the Base URL of my sitemaps.

The XML directory I'm using is webroot/feeds/ and the sitemaps are successfully generated here. However, the Base URL is set to http://www.mysite.co.uk and not http://www.mysite.co.uk/feeds/.

Do you know a work around for this?

Re: Google SitemapAdmin

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your contribution. I downloaded v 1.3.14. Before installing, I would like to clarify few things:

In your readme.txt, you stated

  1. Go to Admin->Tools->Install SQL Patches and install install.sql.
Copying SQL code from googleanalytics.sql file (using a text editor) and paste into form in your shops
admin at Tools > Install SQL patches (copy & paste, don't upload!!!).
    or
Copy install_googlesitemap.php to the admin directory, start it, select Install and press GO button.
  1. Googleanalytics.sql is not included in your download. Where do I get this googleanalytics.sql?
  2. You made install.sql fix in the version. I don't see the same fix in your install_googlesitemap.php. Am I missing something here?
  3. You have update_1_3_14.sql in the directory. What is this for?

I would like to understand every single steps before I change my db.

Yes. It seems to work fine.

I've submitted my XML sitemaps to all 4 of the search engines (that this contribution will ping) and am now waiting to see what the result are.

Re: Google SitemapAdmin

Hi Everyone,

I've just installed this mod on a new store 1.3.7. I had to ammend the install.sql file because the tables have the prefix zen_.

I am able to configure google xml sitemap through configuration, but when I click google xml sitemap under TOOLS I get an Internal Server error. Any ideas what could be the problem?

Thanks
Matt

Re: Google SitemapAdmin

Should I worry about this remark, that appeared after running the sql:

ERROR: cannot insert configuration_key "" because it already exists
Note: 1 statements ingrored. See "upgrade exceptions" table for additional details.

It seems to work properly?
