subscribe newsletter without account

sorry I had to make a new post since all the archive posts are locked and downloads doesnt work. I'd need the subscribe mod download. anyone have it up somewhere? cheers

We still use 1.27 since I havent been able to get anything to work in 130 so the old zip is fine.

I've got a version running on 1.3.0.1 that also incorporates the newsletter unsubscribe modification submitted at the end of the archive thread.

I'm in the process of backing it out now (I did the mod on my dev site and of course didn't cvs it) so I can package it for others to use. I'll probably have it ready by the end of this weekend-It's almost there but I want to add one functionality (email subscriber) and give it another test-install to make sure it's working properly before I unleash it. I'll be glad to post it when I do.

im also looking for a newsletter subscription mod.. but want one wich will work with both 1.2.6 and 1.3.0.1 , since i'll be upgrading my site in couple of weeks...

i installed this module, but it show it in the header along with the search. i want to take the search off and show this module on the right side... hmm, any help ?

you wish to take the search out of the header?

The search header is controlled in admin on the layout boxes page (look for search_header).

The readme file told you how what page added the subscribe header...reverse that to take it out if not wanted.

I believe the sidebox (subscribe.php) is also controlled via the layout box page in admin.

While I'm working on a 1.3 version I did not spend much time working with this in 1.2.7 so I'm not an authority in any sense. Your best bet for making changes with 1.2.7 is to read the old archive thread and see if your question was asked there.

and where i can change the look of it. i want to drop the submit button to a new line (i.e. place it under the text box)

Hi there, thanks for the mod.. its fantastic :) installed and adds cmrs perfectly! However I cannot figure out where in the admin I am supposed to be able to manage these subscribers?? All there is on the index is a number of subscribers??? Is there any way to export them?

im working on a module for that. one that you can view/add/delete all/any of your subscribers.
the script is done and working (as a standalone), but i need a little more time to figure out how to integrate it with zencart... (im a newwww zen :lookaroun)

I've got the 1.3 mod almost done.
I just have to do one final test before I zip it.

For 1.2.7, if you look at the end of archive thread (don't have url handy atm) there's a subscription_removal mod that gives you some functionality.

after installing the subscriber, im getting this:

1054 Unknown column 'customer_id' in 'where clause'

it happens whenever i delete a customer from the admin.

when i press the back button, i get this :

Did you download the latest version?

This should have been fixed in the 2.0.2 version (see this thread/post for the fix: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpost.php?p=209860&postcount=10 )

It's a one-line fix, so you can do it manually.

a quick question,
if using the Newsletter Manager to send emails to all the subscribers, it use the email_template_newsletters.html as its template, right ?

because in that template shows the user's first and last name...what happens when newsletter sent to All subscribers...do they get something like "Dear" on top , or nothing at all...just the newsletter

since in this case, customers have the names, while subscribers have nothing... how does that work,
