Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

Just a small clarification to the last part of my post above.

When I said '... completes all records ...' I mean check that the number of records actually written to the feed file matches the number of active products in the shop.

In your case, the mod will report it's processed all records, and will show the correct number, but you will need to actually look in the feed file and see how many it's actually written to know if it's worked correctly or not.

In case it might help anyone else, I'll describe briefly what appears to be happening.
Great post Pixxi! Very clear description of the troubleshooting/deduction process. Your explanation should become a sticky. :thumbsup:

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

I reset admin>store manager>Reset ALL Products Master Categories ID

I managed to process a feed that is 13.02 MB but now I get this error in the feed window:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/public_html/googlefroogle.php on line 249

I already have the following set in admin> config > my store

Admin Session Time Out in Seconds 7200
Admin Set max_execution_time for processes 3600

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

That was also something I suggested via PM that you try. - and it looks like it might have worked ... :smile:

Ok. If you haven't changed your passwords yet, I'll go back in and add a line of code to your googlefroogle.php file to see if we can get over that.

Let me know - it's 2am here so I'm not up much longer ... :smile:

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

I've just taken another look in your admin, and I'm not getting a timeout when I try to generate a feed - instead the pop-up window is collapsing after about 58 seconds with no errors showing - even with error reporting turned on.

When the feed file generates, I'm getting 7357 records (approx. 11Mb).

Have you made any changes to your database or shop since you got that timeout message yesterday?

Have you used easy populate since then?

Can you backup your database and then run the admin>store manager>Reset ALL Products Master Categories ID again, and then (on the same page) the 'update all products price sorter'. I'll take another look when I get back in a couple of hours.

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

I've been following the latest conversation and have manage d to weed out a fix for my problem, which was the *.txt file only showing the first 12 records.

First I tried to merely reset the **"Reset ALL Products Master Categories ID" **but that didn't work.

Then i played a bit more and:

  1. I uninstalled and reinstalled the sql from 1.33
  2. I reuploaded the entire 1.33 package (downgrade from 1.33a, which shouldn't have been different--I"ve only done this 100 times in the last month!)
  3. Under ADMIN>Tool>Store Manager, I reset ALL Products master category id (nothing changed, still only 12 products) so I updated the **All Products' Attribute Sort Orders and then Updated **ALL Products Price Sorter and then reset ALL Products master category id again (all under store manager).
  4. manually ran googlefroogle feed from within the admin panel and uploaded to google. No timeouts and all products were shown. Google accepted the feed with no errors, making all products active.

My Cron job ran at the 2 a.m. and was also successful in uploading.

I've created the feed no less than 100 times last night and this morning and it has contained all products ever time!

Now on to integrating google checkout!

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

Just wondering if anyone else has this issue. I have an email from Google, saying my product_type left as other has meant my feed has been disapproved until i put it to something more appropriate.
At present, everything can simply be changed, to glassware, but as the shop grows the number of categories will expand. I have found this problematic in the past, mapping large databases to affiliate feeds.

Here is a snip from the email:

Irrelevant product type: We noticed that some of the product_type values
you included are not relevant to your items. For example, for your item
titled "Crystal White Wine Glass," you included "other" as the
product_type. A more relevant product_type value for that item would be
"glassware."

Including irrelevant information may cause your products to be
miscategorised and adversely affect your items' placement. For a list of
examples product_type values, please visit

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

Now when I get the feed to generate, it collapses on me. It stops at about 1 mb. Any suggestions?

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

I just noticed that I'm having a problem with the Google Froogle feed.

I HAD a "Salemaker" sale, that ended 4/15. However, the froogle feeder is STILL sending the SALE price to the TXT file.

I even DELETED all of the "Sales" I had set up, but it's still sending the sale price.

Has anybody seen this and/or fixed it? Or does anyone have a cure for it?

I also checked to be sure I don't have "specials" on the items, and don't.

Thanks.

OK, I did a little digging, and it looks like the Froogle Feeder is using 'products_price_sorter' for the data, and in my 'products' file, many of my products SALE price is in there...

how do I clean that up? What is that field for?

Thanks!

SOLVED! FYI, somehow, during setup, ZenCart must have used a different currency conversion...??? I deleted all that we don't use (Euros, GB lbs, etc) and ran the 'update products price sorter' in store manager, and that fixed them all.

Anybody know what can cause those prices to be wrong? We have never KNOWINGLY used anything but USD...

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

Hi,

I ran your sql code but received the following error. What went wrong? Please advise. Thanks.

1146 Table 'dealbyet_zc2.configuration_group' doesn't exist
in:
[SELECT @configuration_group_id:=configuration_group_id FROM configuration_group WHERE configuration_group_title= 'Google Froogle Configuration' LIMIT 1;]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

kbalona:

WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!
Yes! It's working! Apparently I hadn't uploaded the new googlefroogle.php to the store's root. (Actually, I believe what happened is that I forgot to check "overwrite old file", and I uploaded but it did not overwrite the old file).

Just make sure you upload all the new files correctly, and use this SQL code (I wonder if someone could change it in the download section?)

DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_key='GOOGLE_FROOGLE_MANUFACTURER';

DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_key='GOOGLE_FROOGLE_PRODUCT_TYPE_SHOW';
UPDATE configuration SET configuration_description='Choose your product type' WHERE configuration_key='GOOGLE_FROOGLE_PRODUCT_TYPE';

SET @configuration_group_id=0;
SELECT @configuration_group_id:=configuration_group_id FROM configuration_group WHERE configuration_group_title= 'Google Froogle Configuration' LIMIT 1;

INSERT INTO configuration (configuration_id, configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, date_added, use_function, set_function) VALUES (NULL, 'Condition', 'GOOGLE_FROOGLE_CONDITION', 'new', 'Choose your Product's Condition', @configuration_group_id, 12, NOW(), NULL, 'zen_cfg_select_option(array('new', 'used', 'refurbished'),');

Note your TABLE Names have a prefix:

dealbyet_zc2.configuration_group'

Prefix is:

dealbyet_zc2

You can edit the SQL to append your prefix (wherever a TABLE name is observed).

But if you copy the existing SQL from a text editor and then paste into Tools >Install SQL patches it should work, without first editing SQL. But do NOT upload. (Install SQL Patches is suppose to auto append you DB table prefix but some issues with different server configurations).

Much previous discussion about this common issue in this thread (and same discussion in Google Sitemap and User Tracking support threads in this forum).

Good luck,
Woody

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

Woody,

Google have started rejecting my feed due to now unsupported field "label" and also they are not allowing the product type to be called "other". I've had a look at the feed and the easiest way to fix is to rename the label field and call it product_type. Have you already done this or should I get hacking code?

Re: Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

Hi,

This is confusing. I previously run the sql by pasting and sending it in the admin but it didn't work. Can someone please tell me the exact sql code I need to use based on the error I get in order to make the froogle module work on my website? Thanks.
