Rename "more information" and "page 2"

I would like to rename the more info box and the page 2 title. I have been able to rename the NAVBAR_TITLE and the HEADING_TITLE to "About Us" but I have not been able to figure out how to change it in the sidebox. Help.:down:

I found it! index.php, just change the text in the defines and walla (sp?)poof magic happens and I need another beer.

Which index.php file did you find this in?

There are so many in different places, and I did a CTRL-F find for "Page 2" for example and can't find any index.php file that references this.

Of course I must be missing something.

:shocking: :bangin: OK I am a dope I went to answer your question and realized I didn't change this in index.php it was in: includes/languages/YOUR_TEMPLATE/english.php(this assumes your using the overrides). look for the following around line 143

// information box text in sideboxes/more_information.php - were TUTORIAL_
define('BOX_HEADING_MORE_INFORMATION', 'More Information');
define('BOX_INFORMATION_PAGE_2', 'Page 2');
define('BOX_INFORMATION_PAGE_3', 'Page 3');
define('BOX_INFORMATION_PAGE_4', 'Page 4');

Change the text in red to what you want. Leave single quotes around text.

Thanks! That worked. I'm not using overrides though so for me it was in:

includes/languages/english/classic/header.php

(I'm just modifying the existing Zen Cart, I'm not handy enough in CSS and HTML to create my own template)

I'd take a minute and learn about how you can use the templates and overrides so you do not get overwritten on all of your customizations on your next upgrade ... :eek:

I plan on rebuilding the site later in another directory, then I will take more time, figure everything out, etc..

Right now I just need to get something up and running ASAP.

I was able to change Page 2, Page 3, Page 4 to Abous Us, Sizing Guide and FAQ. The header pages and title for corresponding pages are also corrected. I then entered information on Admin>Tools>Define Pages Editor.

Checked how it looks on the page but it isnt showing. What did I do wrong? Help please?

I got it! I changed my settings at Admin>Configuration>Define Page Status>Define Page % = 1 (Link ON, Define Text ON)

hmm, i still don't understand how to get it to work.

i changed the page_2, page_3 texts to something else in english.php file and uploaded it to /includes/languages/english/template_custom
but they're still showing up as page_1 page_2 page_3 page_4

and the strange thing is i actually only changed the value to 1 for page_2 in admin/configuration/define page status

Define Main page status = 0
Define Page 2 = 1
Define Page 3 = 0
Define Page 4 = 0

howcome the links are still showing up in the "more information" box?

What version of Zen Cart are you using?

In v1.3.x there are settings for the Define Pages such as:

Define Page 2
Enable the Defined Page 2 Link/Text?
0= Link ON, Define Text OFF
1= Link ON, Define Text ON
2= Link OFF, Define Text ON
3= Link OFF, Define Text OFF

The /includes/languages/english/page_2.php has some settings ... then there is the Define Page which is in the /includes/languages/english/html_includes/define_page_2.php which is pulled into the page based on the Define Page settings ...

The Define Page settings should be added to your templates and overrides by copying all files from:
/includes/languages/english/html_includes

into your templates and overrides directory:
/includes/languages/english/html_includes/your_template_dir

The directory and files should be set to 777 if you want to edit them in the Admin ... Tools ... Define Page Editor ...

ok i upgraded to 1.3.0.1

and set my define page status to:
Define Main Page Status 3
Define Page 2 1
Define Page 3 3
Define Page 4 3

with "more information" enabled in admin/tools/layout boxes controller.

but on my webpage in the "more information" box, Page 1 3 and 4 are still showing up. did i miss something?

oh i have one more question regarding the english.php

so now that i've edited the file so that i have new names for page 1 2 3 4 in english.php

do i upload it back to its original folder? or is there a special folder that i should upload it to so that i can preserve it when i upgrade zencart again?
