Rename "more information" and "page 2"

the only instance of a more_information file i can find is in my includes/templates/template_custom/sideboxes along with all the other side boxes..

if that's not the file.. where should i look for it so i know whether i'm using override?

There are 2 peices to each sidebox ... and each has an override ...

/includes/modules/sideboxes/more_information.php

/includes/modules/sideboxes/your_template_dir/more_information.php

/includes/templates/templates_default/sideboxes/tpl_more_information.php

/includes/templates/your_template_dir/sideboxes/tpl_more_information.php

ok great. i found them! now what should i do in order to make the changes i made in admin:
Define Main Page Status 3
Define Page 2 1
Define Page 3 3
Define Page 4 3

reflect on the website? because right now they are all showing up eventho some of set to 3.

I'd say you did not upgrade your files completely or you have overrides and have not upgraded them ...

For page 3 for example the tpl_ should have:

 * @version $Id: tpl_page_3_default.php 3254 2006-03-25 17:34:04Z ajeh $

And you should see a line like:

<?php if (DEFINE_PAGE_3_STATUS >= '1' and DEFINE_PAGE_3_STATUS <= '2') { ?>

I set the Define Page for Page 3 to 3 and it disappears from the sidebox ...

I would like to make use of this "more information" box and the links as well, but I have more than 3 links to put in it...anyone have a simple version of how to accomplish this? :lookaroun

I am thinking that one of the pages such as "page 4" has to be cloned wherever it occurs and then changed to "page 5" and so on. Is this correct?

So the files to alter would be:

1. create a "page_5.php"
2. define it in english.php
3. Add it to the includes / modules / pages
4. Include a reference to it in includes / templates / template_default / sideboxes / tpl_more_information.php

after that I am stumped...are there more places I need to add the page or define it?

When I change my page names (ie: page 2) in english.php, it does change in the more information box, but, the page name in the header, bread crumbs, title, and pretty much everywhere else still says "page 2".

What am I missing? Anyone, please?:dontgetit

Hi all

I managed to figure out how to change the names of the menu options from page 2 etc to what the client wants, however they also need them changed in admin so when they goto define pages they know what page isn what.

I have checked and cannot find any similar files in the admin section, can anyone advise on how to change these pages in admin so they are the same accross the site.

Change the text in red to what you want. Leave single quotes around text.

I tried this, am using a custom template, and it didn't work.
Tried a copy of the english file in
includes/languages/mytemplate/english.php and it didn't work
so I edited the file
includes/languages/english.php and it changed links shown under the sidebox 'More Information' and some under the sidebox 'Information' but there wasn't a place showing Gift Certificate FAQ with the others. How do I get rid of it under the sidebox Information? I tried searching under the Developer's Kit in Admin but didn't find anything.

The links are white until you mouse over them and the person I'm building it for doesn't want them to show like that.

Yeah thanks Barco -- but that's not the problem.

Its something in the css.

The links are there but they're white until you mouse over the box.
Then they show.

I've been to every css stylesheet in the house, but no joy.

oh I see whats going on now........It doesn't work like its suppose to in IE but it works fine in Firefox.....I didn't check it earlier in IE. That is truly strange behavior, the links don't appear in IE until you hover and then they stay there until you refresh or switch to someother browser window and come back. Try and see if they are there in white by changing the background color of the box to black, if they don't show up as white letters then the problem isn't in the stylesheet, as far as I can tell. I can't find where the a element would be set to white anyways in your stylesheet and especially just for that box. Very strange indeed

Yes... I've changed the bgcolor of the box but astonishingly the links still don't show.

There is nowhere within any of the stylesheets (mind you I may be blind right now) where it mentions anything being #fff - except for the header links --- there is nothing that mentions #moreinformation.leftBoxContainer only the Container itself... and that's set to #000 anyway.... most curious.
I tried adding #moreinformation.leftBoxContainer and it's color everywhere also... but I think I must be missing something.

At least it should be as follow, and anyone will work.
