Ajeh:
No ... what the setting:
does is allow a Product that sends a product snail mail to the customer and a download at the same time ... to work with shipping ...
Downloads do not, by default, have shipping ...
Some products will be both a physical product and a download at the same time ...
To manage this correctly, there is a special setting for Download/Physical products when defining if they are:
Always Free Shipping:
Yes, Always Free Shipping
No, Normal Shipping Rules
Special, Product/Download Combo Requires a Shipping Address
Does the setting on the following matter (does the position of the radio affect the combo setting right below)?
Product is Virtual: Yes, Skip Shipping Address No, Shipping Address Required
When the physical product in question can be purchased at different prices/settings (these are allready set up with attributes (radio buttons)), is there a special guideline that has to be followed when also adding a download?
If a product is combined physical and download, one have to set up attributes in a special way, for the whole thing to work?
For example lets say you sell a poster.
This poster can be purchased either like a download, or as a physical product that is sent to the customer by post (needs shipping adress, so when the physical is chosen during purchase shipping adress is required, if download is chosen, no shipping adress is required).
The physical product is a poster and can be purchased in different sizes. Each size has its own unique price.
What's important here is that when physical product is chosen, download is deselected, and the other way around (if the customer wants he/she could maybe even choose both if he/she likes to do so).
So my question is, how do I set the attributes up for this to work as desired?
Will all the attributes be radio buttons?
Do both virtual and physical reside in the same "radio button menu", or do each reside in their own "radio button menu" (in case the 2 can't be in the same "menu", it needs to be possible for the customer to deselect download or physical).
Any pointer would be greatly appreciated! :D
