Ask A Question

Hmmm, a few years ago I needed to move my CO button and used this:

Its been awhile since worked with zc but I seem to remember ```php

and this was a line breakphp

Substitute the TEXT_SECURE_CHECKOUT with what ever button your trying to move, on what ever page your working on, hope this helps:lookaroun

Is there a way, or is there another mod, that can capture and record the questions and answers into a tab on the product page?

I know that's a pretty complicated mod or enhancement, just trying to find out if it already exists or if it needs to be custom coded.

It has not been done before. It's not really as good an idea as it might seem on first consideration.

If you want to add a text box to your product page that displays questions and answers that you, the administrator, maintain, go for it; this is a small project that some people would find useful.

But building a per product forum - which is what you're really talking about here - is a ton of work, and would be a ton of maintenance going forward as you deal with the constant onslaught of spam.

Thanks for the feedback Software Guy... I wonder if there's a third party tool that can be integrated easily, have you ever heard of that before? That might be a better solution?

Laid out in the 1.9 version, their should be a switch in the CAPTCHA sql to turn it off/on already I think, if not, easy to add one.

Thanks! I'm only now installing captcha and your zip worked so far for my Ask a Question mod on my test site. Will move to live site soon. I'm having a problem with someone apparently using my Ask a Question form for spam.

Uncertain. I assume I receive a copy because of admin email setting that I receive copies.

It seems to be using Ask a Question, contains the dress link and subject title as normal. But no real message and jibberish-type email code. I don't know if there is a message. I saved one and can post if you'd like and permissible.

My host seemed familiar with this and recommended captcha and up-to-date cart patches and was of the opinion that oscommerce/zencart has a problem with others able to access the admin, without actually being logged in, for this. I don't know. Sometimes the crap emails come in a slew and I expect at least one a day. Host didn't say tons of email were going out, but our dedicated server was under brute force attack awhile ago. And I recently found a hack php file in my images file whos script contained a ftp to the ukrane or russia, as I recall. Saved that. Unsure if related to email issue.

Installed captcha earlier today, haven't received another email since. We'll see how tomorrow goes.

how can in change the link says

to something like:

index.php?main_page=inquiry&products_id=1

?

Actually I've tried that but it doesn't seem to work with the anti-robot add-on I need. Does it work only with the Andrew 's addon dated back to 2008? I'm using 1.3.9h zen-cart

Anyway I just partially solve the issue by setting up a spam filter in my email box.

I tired it all I got was a white page on clicking on the ask button on my site.

I cant seem to get any of the Captcha mods working with this one. Has anybody else managed? I have tried all suggested code that is linked to in this thread....any ideas?:no:
