How do I set 2 flat shipping rates to 2 different zone?
I wouldn't know how to do that.
Is it possible that there is something wrong in my Admin setup with the zones or whatever?

What version of Zen Cart are you running?
If you are running v1.3.9g, have you followed the instructions in thread:
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=165081
specifically post #52 ...

Yes, I am running running v1.3.9g (not as an upgrade) and no, I have not seen this thread before.
I'll go through it.
Thanks much for your continued help.

I did create this white list file and ftp-ed into the correct folder and tried the patch again. Same error message.

If this insert message does not work, can I manually edit the two zones (USA & World). I've tried everything in the admin area but I don't seem to grasp this zone and zone definitions thing. must be old age.

In your Control Panel for your domain, there will be a link to phpMyAdmin ...
This will let you select your database and run the INSERT statements in the SQL ...
If you do not know how to get to either the Control Panel or the phpMyAdmin ... contact your host as it is something you should learn how to do ...
NOTE: backup your database before running the commands is a good idea and a good habit to do periodic backups of your database ...

Ajeh,
I had backed up my database before (post #35).
When you say INSERT, I'm assuming you mean "IMPORT", right?
When I try to import the first file (USA), I get this error message:
#1146 - Table 'veritech_zc1.geo_zones' doesn't exist. Is this a table I need to set up in zc admin?
I'm sure it's my fault but I don't know what to do now.
Thanks.
Ed

Actually, you would select your Database ... Backup the Database ... then, click on SQL ... and paste in the INSERT statements that I posted ...
With phpMyAdmin, the table names must match so if you use prefixes, you have to adjust the table names on the INSERT statements to use those ...

Okay, that's a different story. The databas uses zen_ as prefix so I added that prefixe to your statement and I get this error message:
Error
SQL query:
INSERT INTO zen_geo_zones ( zen_geo_zone_id , zen_geo_zone_name , zen_geo_zone_description , last_modified , date_added )
VALUES ( 21, '48 Lower States', '48 States + DC', NULL , '2008-02-01 12:12:12' ) ;
MySQL said:
#1054 - Unknown column 'zen_geo_zone_id' in 'field list'
Thanks for your patience with me, I'm sure it's running thin by now. :-)

Only change the database table names not the field names ... example:
INSERT INTO `zen_geo_zones` (`geo_zone_id`, `geo_zone_name`, `geo_zone_description`, `last_modified`, `date_added`) VALUES (21, '48 Lower States', '48 States + DC', NULL, '2008-02-01 12:12:12');
INSERT INTO `zen_zones_to_geo_zones` (`zone_country_id`, `zone_id`, `geo_zone_id`) VALUES

Ajeh,
I have set the zones/shipping in the cart and I'll ask my customer to go through a complete purchasing cycle on the cart and see what happens. I'll keep you guys posted.
And, again, many, many thanks.

Ajeh,
A problem has popped up. When we go through a test purchase, we get a message that "items can not be shipped to your region at this time". The shipping state is MS, the order state is TX. Any idea what this could be?
Thanks,
Ed

Check your Zone Definition for the US ... is Texas in there?
As a guest, can you get Texas to work?

Yes, Texas is in there.
Re "As a guest, can you get Texas to work?" I'm not sure what you mean by that.
Oba-san
Visit your site and do not login ... this makes you a guest ...
Add a Product to the Cart ... check the shipping ... what happens if you put in the Texas Address?

If you are NOT logged in, and use the Shipping Estimator ... can you see the shipping if you use a Texas address ...

I don't see any shipping estimator at all.
