Quick Updates plugin [support]

Hey Paul!

I sat down and did the work to update 2.05 to work with 1.5. Basically, I adopted the same method I use for EP4. So you also preserve the ability to modify your configuration values.

The modifications should work for both 1.39 and 1.5. You just upload the files, go to Catalog > Quick Updates and click on the Install button. Configuration entries are created and so are the proper Admin pages (I hope correctly!).

If you want, I can send you the files and you can update yourself. One thing of note, the old version upgrade sql are all defunct. Let me know what you want me to do.

Well, I screwed up and submitted with the wrong folder (I have a custom version for our company), so I just re-submitted today.

Quick Updates - Version: 2.06 for ZenCart v1.5 now available in the downloads sections!

Hi,

I just installed Quick Update V2.06 on my Zen Cart 1.5.

I have popup edits enabled, I see the Description Edit icon and hovering shows the description of my product.

When I click to edit it, I get a pop-up page with the following error message:

"The requested URL /zcadmin/popup_text_edit.php was not found on this server."

I have looked and can't find this file, although I see some older posts here that make passing mention of it.

How do I fix this?

A real noob question here...

I have QU 2.06 loaded on ZC 1.5.

I works really sweetly, but I am stumped by how to edit products that have attributes (like size, colour, etc). Some of these attributes change the price, and QU shows only the first item by sort order.

I think I am going to find out that QU is not going to be any use to me for those products with attribute selections ... which would be a pity.

I hope someone can tell me that I am wrong ... and how o handle it...

So I have quick updates installed and was wondering if there was a way to blanket update every price on every item at once?

I also need the attributes added. I paid someone to do it to an older version of quick updates if anyone is interested in taking a look at the code and transferring it to the new version of Quick Updates...

Hey, I installed this mod and It installed correctly but I ended up with a blank screen in my admin section, and when ever I try to click anything in my admin section it remains blank. Has anybody had this problem before? I am running 1.5.1

I just downloaded and installed this module. This file talked about: admin/popup_text_edit.php is not included in the current download in the plugins area (it is missing). I even re-downloaded again to make sure. I took mine from an older version (2.05) and it seems to work.

I'll take a look into this. It's possible it was left out of the zip file by accident.

I have copied over the files but I dont get any option to "install" as per the instructions in Configuration > Quick Updates. Is this just me??

i'm the same this is my favourite addon:love it..
I 've just up graded to 15.1 and had the same problem no pop_text_edit_php in the latest version so did what another poster done and added the pop_text_edit from 2.05......................

But in the admin area the it seems to work the pop up text screen appears and you can type whatever and save ....but when you go and look in the online store to check the changes, they are not being saved this is only happening in the pop_text area....when I change the price etc this works sweet...

any ideas anyone on how to fix this??

Dumbo me... got this sorted all working good now....Hitting the save button on the bottom of the description pop up box wasn't enough.. I also have to it the hit the update button at the bottom of quick updates for the savings to be made sooooooooo everything working sweet xx
