Yes - that's all LinkPoint does ... credit cards.

I just can't fire this out
is there any tutorial or post that would guide me trough how to se link Point up?

Our company has been doing business online for 10 years, but this is our first stab at a shopping cart application. With Zen Cart is it necessary to sign up with a new merchant interface like LinkPoint or can we continue to process our orders with our current credit card provider using our old hand-punched Tranz 330 machine?

you can continue to manually punch every order,
you will use the cc module thats in admin -> modules -> payment

and remember to put your email address in

this will display 4 numbers and the exp date,
then will email you the remaining 4 numbers and the cvv

Alternatively...
Since you already have a merchant account, you could:

• talk to your merchant service and ask about the costs for upgrading your service to allow online processing
• find out from them which "gateways" they support
  ... and check out whether Zen Cart supports those gateways
  ..... and then decide if maybe it's worth the additional fees to have real-time processing done for you.

NOTE: Regardless which route you choose, you DO need to get SSL on your site to protect customer and CC information.

Thank you, MerlinPA1969 and DrByte. We checked out LinkPoint and Cardservice International, and you're right -- their rates are very good! Apparently First Data, the company that provides our merchant account, bought Cardservice International recently. The funny thing is, the rates through Cardservice International are almost 1-1/2% lower than our current rates with First Data, although we've been doing business with them for well over ten years. Really appreciate you turning us on to this.

We already have SSL on our site but have been hobbling along with a simple CGI-based cut-&-paste order form. Zen Cart is going to be a major upgrade for us.

My question is would the Linkpoint work with any merchant account, my client has an account with Bank of America and he does not want open new one

I was thinking about pay pal.
I have a merchant account in paypal but somehow paypal does not allow me to cash out the money? Does any one has the same problem?
