HELP - I Deleted My Original Style Sheet

HELP.. I accidenlty deleted my Original_Style sheet by hitting Delete in my cpanel. It says I can bring it back to the folder I want it to.. But I don't know how. Can someone help me. My site looks HORRABLE now.. See this is what I get now. Wahhhhhhh :schmoll:

were you in file manager when you deleted it ?

To restore from the file manager click the link to the file that is below the trashcan - clicking the trashcan itself empties it - it's kinda like the windows recycle bin.

Its up in the Right hand corner on the top. I click to move it.. Then it says click on folder were you want to move it to. So I go to locate were it was.. but I don't know how to get it there. I Want to Cry. My site is sooo deformend.

I had to take the re-direct off to fix it.

I did delete it in the Manage file. But like I Said its not in the Trash can.

Here is what you do

You have that click to move it - I hope you know where you are putting it S

To navigate it to where you want it to go :

Click on FOLDERS (the folder Icon) to navigate into the template folder that your css belongs in.

Click THE NAME of the folder to put it there.

So if you are going to move your css to say includes/templates/mytemplate/css

You are going to click the FOLDER next to includes, the FOLDER next to templates, the FOLDER next to mystemplate and then the NAME of the folder css

OK here ya go hun

Click the FOLDER public_html

Then continue with my instructions above - just remember click FOLDERS until you see the folder you want to put it in then click the FOLDER NAME to put it there.

The folder icons on the left are the FOLDERS I am talking about :)

I think I clicked on so many files.. that I have not clue were I just put it. ..... I now have to go hunt it down. Is there an easier way.. Like Just pick up a New CSS Style_Orignal Tempate? LOL

This is the un modified style from classic template version 1.3.0.2 that I have attached for you.

ok Well that mess me up any? I did not design my cart. I just learned now how to change the background and Logo.. ( Still have not gotten the boxes changed in color ) LOL So I was playing around when I Deleted it.

So.. What do I do with this ? Will it bring back my site with my background and all?

This is the original file that was in place before you edited, so you should change anything that you had previously changed in here (your colors/background) your logo will be fine because zen "knows" that it is to use logo.gif by default.

Simply upload the CSS that I gave you to your template/Classic/css folder and then make your changes.

You aren't using cpanel to edit are you?
That could lead to problems down the road when you start editing PHP files and such ;)

Ok - I found the Style Sheet

But I Still can not figure out how to get it to were I Want it.

I click on Public/Shop/Include/Template/Template_default/Css

But There is NOTHING there when I go to move it.. but it wont go there.

BUT.. IF I am not moving anything and I just click on it all.. I get to Template_Default/Css My NEWS Template is there ( the one my designer made Changes too )
But not the Stylesheet_original

Hun it almost sounds like you are using two different template folders and that is half your problem.

Template_Default would not contain this css file because it isn't designed to use it.

My recommendation - get an FTP program like CuteFtp or WSFTP and use that instead of your cpanel file manager - that way you can "see" what's going on a lot easier.

I thought you were using the classic template folder, if you are then your css file needs to go in includes/templates/Classic/css

Ok Now - I keeping clicking on folder AFTER folder to try to move it. ONCE I get to the /css ( The end ) how does it transfer?

right now its sitting in my Public.html

Its there.. But I just am having issues trying to move it over there.

I know NOTHING about this stuff.. I am learning now. I feel so frustrated and lost right now its driving me crazy.

You are so close !

Go back to that and STOP clicking folders at /classic
so that your css folder is on the screen - then click the NAME css so that it puts it there.

If that doesn't work....

Then use mine hun - you said you didn't edit much so it will at least fix it.

Navigate to that folder and at the top click on "Upload a New File" browse to the one I attached (unzipped of course) and then make sure the overwrite existing files is checked just in case) and at least your formatting will be back.

I need to tell you.. you were a BIG HELP I have learned so much with this issue its not even funny. But GREAT.

As you can see the Style sheet is back up.Now I have to go in and Change mybackground as well as figure out how to get rid of that BLUE Logo part? Any help there. ?

Also I as looking BEFORE I Rudley ( LOL ) deleted my Style Sheet.. how to change the border and the Boxes so I can make it a different color and customize my Template?

Can you lead me into the Right direction ?

You didn't break anything else hun - don't worry

As for fixing the header look for the file head_bg.jpg that clodes background image that I assume is what you mean with the blue logo image is in your stylesheet, delete it in there and it will be gone.

The best advice, get Firefox with the web deveopers toolbar. You will love working with it when you are workng with css.

Suggestion- Get a good FTP program and download a copy of all of your Zen Cart files to your computer for safe keeping and update your backup frequently.
