Scrolling Specials Sidebox v1.1

I have it installed and also have Image Handler installed. It works fine in Firefox but in IE the images are static in column, only the text is scrolling. It is the same with Scrolling What's New sidebox.

Anyone knows how to fix this in IE? Does anyone have this problem? Test your site in IE and Firefox to see the difference.

Do me a favour and switch off the image handler and test again. I have seen some strange results when image handler is installed.

We can then take it from there.

Yes, without IH the scrolling is working. It uses the medium size images for the scrolling. Is there a fix when IH is in use?

You should be able to have image handler on just not the image zoom.. works ok for me.

Thanks to both Snout and Louis for your help. So far I followed your advice and turn off the zoom in IH and it works great.

I also have this problem, the pictures are static but the texts are scrolling. But if I switch the Image Handler off, everything works fine... Do anyone have a solution for this ?

I install this module but it have some problem with IE . It load on FF2 is okie .

Anyone resolve the IE problem above. Just installed myself and have the same issue and need to have Image Handler, and its zoom feature installed...too nice of a mod to turn it off..

I am using this mod to display New Release music titles, consequently there is no need for discount on the product price.

Does anyone know how I can stop the new discounted (?) prices from being displayed. Just need the original price to be displayed if poss.

I had thought about using the New Products scrolling mod but then this would apply to any new products that have been listed and not just the new releases.

Any ideas would be much appreciated. Great mod by the way!

Can someone point me to a site that is using v1.1 of this sidebox with a current version of Zen Cart so I can determine if it is my browser configuration or a code problem?

Found my problem, and may be the solution to other reports that the sidebox works in one browser, but not another...

This sidebox requires that the browser have scripting enabled. It was not working with my Firefox browser because I normally run Firefox with scripting disabled, so the script in the sidebox code did not run. I run my IE browser with scripting enabled, because I only run IE on sites that REQUIRE IE to run, and I know they can be trusted (such as the MS Windows Update site).

I suggest that the next version of this sidebar be written to use server scripting, as most people (I hope) run their browsers with scripting disabled.

This is where there seems to be some contention with this mod. I rely heavily on IM2 w/ zoom for my site, so would rather forgoe this mod until there is a fix so I can keep IM2/zoom.

Well, Scrolling Specials works in Firefox at http://reggaevendor.co.uk/, but not on my offline site offlinestore.azbizp.com, even if I turn on all scripting capabilities of my Firefox browser.

Yes, I have IH2 installed (latest version), but all zoom capabilities are disabled on the Images configuration admin control. Does the use of the Marquee function require that I specifically have scripting or some other capability enabled at my PHP web server?

Another hint to the problem... When I browse my offline site using IE6, scrolling specials works OK except that there is an additional blank image at the end of the scroll before it recycles to the first image. Not dependent on the number of specials that I set up.

I have installed scrolling sidebox and image handler 2 on zen 1.3.7, and the images in the sidebox are shown towards down of the page and compeletly disconfigurated the page !
offcourse if I disable image zoom in admin for IH, the sidebox scrolles normally with the images, but the function of mouse over on the images to show aside as the specificity of IH doesn't work,
any idea how can I fix it to have scrolling of the images within the sidebox and having the image handler ?
all these problems exist only in IE and not in firefox,

I got the IH handler installed and work fine, but the special scrolling does not work, it appear static and only the text scrolling, has anyone got some advice on the scrolling image problem yet?

Ditto. This mod would definitely step my site up a notch, but the IH zoom feature is 100% necessary for me. Anxiously awaiting a fix...
