tell me what's been ordered!!

Chances are that port 80 is already open. Your host could confirm it for you.

Re: tell me what's been ordered!!

My web host Supanames suggested I should initially request to connect to https://www.paypal.com in the firewall rules section of my sites control panel. It seems they prevent all automatic connections from php or cgi scripts, unless you change your firewall rules personally to allow this. Sound like this could be the problem? I wondered if I also need to put the zencart website on there as well, as I notice the store/admin url ends in php - sometimes I have trouble logging on?

Re: tell me what's been ordered!!

After long consultations and efforts trying to get the right info out of paypal I'm delighted to say the problem has been solved and orders now coming through complete with email from store saying what has been ordered. Thank goodness! Think it was the host's firewall rules that were blocking communication. Enormous thanks for all your help. I now know more than I ever wanted to know but clearly there's a lot to learn so I shall be supporting thr zencart forum in future!
