information box seems cut in half?

i have also just installed image handler 2, I need that installed, seems to have caused no issues

ok. I now have the categories and information boxes 99% the way they need to be. The backgrund colours are correct, information before mouse over and on mouse over are spot on, but the categories on mouse over are showing a pink (I think) fnt colour thats not anywhere in the bettercategories css, also the first item on the categories list seems to be in bold where as the others are not?

Better categories stylesheet is just a handler of the wrappers around the standard css code for the sidebox. Think of it like the Russian dolls that start out with one big doll and has one inside of it, with one inside of it, wiith one inside of it, with one....

What better categories does is control everything inside it's wrapper that IS NOT listed elseewhere. It will only change something if it is specifically called.

IE if the main stylesheet for our Russian dolls is doll.css with another called female.css and one called male.css, the dolls.css would contain all information pertinent to ALL dolls. The female.css would add things like longer hair, skirt, etc. Male would add baggy clothes, unshaven beard, beer, etc.:D

The doll wrapper would be around all dolls and a female wrapper around each doll you want to "look" female.

In this case, as happens to many folks, you're looking at the BC stylesheet and forgetting that most of this was already coverred in the main stylesheet.

If you do a CTRL-SHIFT-C you'll bring up the view of all stylesheets combined. search for category-top and you'll find wwhat's bugging you with the hover.

I know this is a bit winded but, since you're taking the time to learn, I fiurred it was time for another bit of info.

Your analagy (not sure if thats how its spelt) made perfect sense.

Stylesheet_new.css deals with the bulk, and bettercategories simply lets me make slight modifications to only those inside that sheet.

I suppose, in theory I could add those to the main stylesheet instead (not that I will) but it would work

Ill see what I figure out.

OK bud, your a god, I found it, changed it and its perfect, and what I am more than anything pleased about is that 99% of the changes I have made to make it look this way are css only, with minor mods.

Is it safe for me to remove the codes inside the footer and replace it with my own image, this will remove the IP info and home link which though turned off in admin have not stayed off?

And what do I owe you for your support, you into anything, music, movies etc? Im an IT guy so if you need any software...oops, thats not quite what I meant to say :-)

ok, so here is the current situation.

CSS changes are now showing the site as perfect, with a few yet to be made minor changes (the more information links to be centered which can be done at any time)

Next issues is. I added a product, just one into the top most link in categories, but the uy now buttont does not appear?

I have not edited any code other than whatI said previousley, header and footer?
