DUAL Pricing version 2 for 1.3.0.2 Donations

So, after all this back and forth, is there a definitive 1 or 2 sentence explanation for how to make the newest DUAL Pricing work for 1.3.5? With the newsletter bug in 1.3.0.2, I need to upgrade, but I really need for DUAL Pricing to work too.

I have it installed and working on a 1.3.5 install but when I edit a product, I have to renter my wholesale pricing.

Any thoughts on why this might be happening?

OK, found a bug :schmoll: When trying to copy attributes from one product to another, the following error comes up after you've chosen the product you're copying to and hit the copy to button:

I'm guessing it's because there was an extra field added into the attributes table, but I don't have a clue what will fix it! Any thoughts? The site I'm working on has products with lots of attributes, so the copy feature would be SO helpful :D

If you're getting this error when trying to copy attributes:

1136 Column count doesn't match value count at row 1
in:
[insert into products_attributes values (0, '15', '1', '5', '0.0000', '+', '0', '1', '0', '+', '0', '0', '1', '', '1', '0.0000', '0.0000', '0.0000', '0.0000', '0.0000', '', '', '0.0000', '0', '0.0000', '0', '0')]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

Here is the solution:

In admin/includes/functions/general.php, find the following line:
'" . $products_copy_from->fields['options_values_price'] . "',

Right under it, add this line:
'" . $products_copy_from->fields['options_values_price_w'] . "',

Now in the same file, just a little further down, find this line:
options_values_price='" . $products_copy_from->fields['options_values_price'] . "',

Add this line right underneath:
options_values_price_w='" . $products_copy_from->fields['options_values_price_w'] . "',

It works beautifully now :clap:

I am a newbie when it comes to programming, but I have found Zencart and their support group to be the best, I have learnt alot and thank the group.

Here is my current problem:

I was having problems with this module, so I freshly installed to my site 1.3.5 and slowly rebuilt everything to make sure I was current. That went OK.

I also installed the FCKeditor.

However, once I installed this beta version for dual-pricing, my FCKeditor stopped working. It was there in the pull-down option, but when you would go to edit a product, nothing below "Product Qty Min/Unit Mix:" showed.

Using Winmerge, trial and error on my part, I was able to get everything running.

However, I have the same problem as Mommydesigns.

Before editing a product it shows the retail/wholesale price. Example 6.95/3.45. Yet when I go in the edit that product, the retail shows 6.95 (and keeps the cents on update) , but the wholesale field only shows 3, and if I do not change it to 3.45, when I update the file, it would only show a wholesale price of 3.

Any thought would be appreciated.

Hi All

Though I am a newbie at this, I have been playing around on a test site to get this module working.

I found in the file admin/includes/modules/products/collect_info.php file a line that was causing the "wholesale" amount to round off. Once I changed the following, everything seems to be working.

Approximately line 343

Find:

Replace with:

I am still trying this out to make sure I have not caused any problems, but it seems to be working fine.

those of you trying to remove the SQL patch if you screwed up like me and had major issues:

ALTER TABLE customers DROP customers_whole
ALTER TABLE products DROP products_price_w
ALTER TABLE products_attributes DROP options_values_price_w

or you can just delete those lines that were added from your file.

Is there a version of Dual Pricing that works with Zen 1.3.0.1?

I have experience with several Zen Carts on multiple server set up and all seem to function very quickly. I installed this Mod on 1.3.5 on a new install of the Cart and it seems to have slowed everything down greatly. Has anyone else experienced this slow down?

Quick additional fix: in line 20 of /admin/includes/modules/product/collect_info.php , change

                       'products_price_w' => '',

to

                       'products_price_w' => '0',

This will make the Wholesaler Price default to '0' so that if you forget to enter a price, it will just appear the same as the retail price, instead of free. I'll post a zip of files for this mod - updated to work in 1.3.5 - tomorrow, after I finish launching a site tonight.

I would have posted a zip already, but it took time to find some other bugs. If you have the wholesale/Dual pricing mod installed on 1.3.5 - make sure you also fix the problem described here: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpost.php?p=287492&postcount=9

I have dual pricing_1_3-beta3 installed on 1.3.6 and it is working fine except for two things:

1. I also have to re-enter the wholesale price when I edit a product.

2. I can't get the different pricing levels to work. The mod works fine with one wholesale price, but when I enter the 1.00,2.00,3.00,4.00 for different levels, nothing happens and it keeps the first price. I have already tried re-installing it to make sure I didn't miss anything, but that didn't help. Does anyone know what I would need to edit to fix this?

Other than these 2 problems, it works great for me in 1.3.6. I did have to add the fix for the attribute copying problem (which is somewhere on this thread) and also, the admin>customers.php file conflicts with the user tracking mod's version of customer.php. You have to compare the two and meld them together somehow. I have both mods working, I just don't remember how I did it!

Anyway, if anyone could help me figure out how I can fix the pricing level situation, I would love you forever and ever. :wink2:

The special price is the same for retail and wholesales: it's possible have different discount for retail and wholesales for specials?

Is someone able to summarize this thread? I've just read through it and I'm still unsure what works with what version and what doesn't?

I run 1.302 now and have not installed any dual Pricing mods and would rather hold off until there's a solid version that definitely works either with 1.302 or a later cart.

Hello! I am using this mod on 1.3.6 and it works fine except for one thing. If you edit a product, you have to re-enter the wholesale price again. This is not a big deal though. Everything else works fine. I am using the download entitled "dual pricing_1_3-beta3.zip". If you'd like me to email you the version I have, send me a PM with your email and I'll send it to you. Also, somewhere on this thread they discuss a fix for a problem with copying attributes. I copied the fix into a text file and added it to the zip file. -April

(P.S. My previous post about the 4 different levels not working has been fixed. It works fine now on a fresh Zen install. There must have been something wrong with one of my files somewhere.)

I have problem with this modul,when i install it with shopping_cart.php in folder includes/classic.
If i use this file of this module , i cant check out or delete product :wacko: ...
When i restore it by origin file of zencart 1.36,shopping cart working...

Can somebody guide me to fix that?

Hi, I have a little problem too whit my -- dual pricing_1_3-beta3 --. I have my Zen shop 1.3.5. running - I installt dual pricing_1_3-beta3. It works fine, only 1 problem if somebody register in my shop he get automatic the wholesale price. My Shop admin give him no number and so he gets wholesale instead of retail.

What I did wrong ??? Th:yes: nks for any help.
