How do EZ-Pages work?

Can we see the site that has the issue? These are all ez-pages with text content? You say you have all menu settings "off"... how do you access the pages in the chapter?

You say you have a chapter number and sort order for each of your ez-pages; do you have "TOC:" set to "Yes" for each of them?

Of course TOC for all are set to yes. But all the others are off.

I would show you the site if it was live. It is on a local test pc.

To access main FAQs page I use the following hyperlink from the contact page. But I get no table of contents on this page.

Your settings all look good. What template do you have installed? Does the issue change if you switch to Classic? And since there are many templates I am not familiar with, some more detail about yours might be helpful. In particular, are there any template-specific files relating to ez-pages?

I started with "Classic Contemporary Green" and used an override to modify it.

To change the template is one thing I did not do, but when I tried it it failed also.

One thing I neglected to mention was that, I am using EZ-Pages Footer Columns v1.1 plugin!

My next test is to try this on a fresh install of Zen 1.5.1

Installed a fresh version of Zen 1.5.1 on my local host.

I am still **NOT **getting the TOC properly. Following is the screen capture of the setup:

You are not getting ez-page links in header, footer or sidebox because you have their sort orders set to 0. Set them to actual numbers and they will show up.

Your previous posts gave the impression that you were not getting the TOC at all. If I had known that you were getting an incomplete TOC, I would have known to direct you to this thread:

As you suggested I placed a "1" for the sort and the FAQ showed up in all header, footer and side-box.

To be very frank, I did not want the FAQ to appear in neither header, footer or side-box! I wanted to have a direct link to the FAQ page from other pages. And as I stated in my previous posts, I was using URL html index.php?main_page=page&id=1 instead of ```html
index.php?main_page=page&id=1&chapter=100

The TOC will show up (in the center column, never in sidebox, header or footer), but it will contain only the page with the lowest sort order.
You need to make the edits described in the thread for it to work properly. This bug appears as a result of new versions of PHP/MySQL that have stricter behavior. It's not so much a v1.5.x bug as a latent bug that shows up in the latest server platforms.

I implemented DrByte's mod and now it is all functional.

Also can php code be written in the HTML Content: of EZ-Pages?

/includes/templates/your_template/templates/tpl_page_default.php. The stylesheet will also greatly affect the final layout of the TOC.

Ez-pages cannot process PHP, only HTML. There is a way to make them process PHP, but it is a hack with significant security risks.

So I've never really used the EZ Pages before and I've decided to give it a shot...it's not so EZ!

I've created a page, I can open the page when I click on the link. But I have no idea where to edit this page. The page I created does NOT show up in the define pages editor. I would appreciate some direction on this so much. Thank you.
