Re: Simple Zen Template - Support Thread

MB1:

now i just restored the language header. and i get those links again how do we remove those links

Yes, that is the way to remove those links, but when you change a language file, and want to remove some text, don't delete the ENTIRE line from the language file, ONLY delete the actual text from the language file.

Re: Simple Zen Template - Support Thread

Hello,

I love the look of this template but noticed a strange problem. I like to have my category images on my main page like tiles, see https://www.planetberry.com, as well as have my text from the define_main_page.php under the categories. I noticed that when I have set categories to show on main page in the layout settings, Simple Zen will not display my text from the define_main_page.php file. How can I get both to show on my site at the same time?

The site I am working on is https://www.westernmerchantsolutions.com.

Thank you

I'm not sure if I understand you, but I see this on your home page:

Re: Simple Zen Template - Support Thread

Hey Ho!

Still love this template!

I added some additional text on the shopping cart page, which looks fine in all browsers except IE7 where the text is ridiculously HUGE:shocking:

Is there a CSS thingy I can pop in somewhere to calm things down a bit?

Re: Simple Zen Template - Support Thread

Is there a way I can put some links in a sidebox in the Simple Zen theme? I've worked out how to place a sidebox (I've used the More Info box for want of a better box) into the theme, but can't work out how to rename it and add hyperlinks?

Thanks for any help.

Turn on the ez-pages sidebox, then go to "tools", "Ez-pages" and add all the hyperlinks your heart desires. :D

Thanks Jettrue, much appreciated.

Next question is, how can I add some space inbetween the sideboxes on the left and right hand sides so they don't sit right on top of each other??

Many thanks in advance.

Re: Simple Zen Template - Support Thread

dharma,

90+% of the time, if IE looks bad, the problem is with something in the code. FF is very forgiving and will adjust. IE is clueless. Head over to http://validator.w3.org/ and let it check your site or add the html validator from tidy to ff.

Re: Simple Zen Template - Support Thread

Sorry, another question. How can I decrease the width of the centre column so there is more room between the centre column and the left and right columns?

Many thanks.

Re: Simple Zen Template - Support Thread

this may help, unless you are talking margin or padding.

Re: Simple Zen Template - Support Thread

I fiddled with the left and right widths changing from 150 to 135px but it wasn't what I'm after. I guess I'm wanting to increase the padding between the centre column and the left column and the centre column and the right column.

Thanks again.

Re: Simple Zen Template - Support Thread

Somewhere around line 520 in your stylesheet, you'll find a padding call for .centerColumn.

You may need to separate it from the others unless you want the same padding for all.
