OLD Super Orders 2.0 (See v3.0 thread instead)

LOL, don't cry, just download the latest update to the module (rev 45). It was just submitted, so look for it in the downloads section later tonight or tomorrow. That has all the correction to the SQL, and should work fine.

Thanks, LOL, I got it working, it wasn't that bad...

It's just when there's an error, well, half of the SQL file uploads, then half doesn't, then you've got to figure out what uploaded and what didn't, cause then when you try to re-upload the correction, then it gives you a duplicate error, and well, it chaps my hide, LOL! I'm not all that proficient with databases, I know just enough to get myself in trouble!

Re: OLD Super Orders 2.0 (See v3.0 thread instead)

I have been searching for an easy way to print shipping labels... I found Super Orders which has a shipping label printing function, but I think it maybe over kill to install it just to gain the ability to print labels. What is the consensus on this? Are the other features really worth it?

I was reading through the Super Order Read Me file and it mentioned a module called "Basic Shipping Label" but I have not been able to locate it... Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance!

Re: OLD Super Orders 2.0 (See v3.0 thread instead)

Good news: Amazing product here! Hats off to you.

Bad news: I'm having 2 small issues.

  1. When I print an invoice dirrectly under store information I get a line that says 'Fed Tax ID #FED_TAX_ID_NUMBER'. I realize this is something that should be defined somewhere but I do not see it anywhere. I did have some trouble upgrading my SQL so I possibly missed something.

  2. All my new orders show a payment already listed under payment histroy. There is no name/number or type. Amount is listed as $0.00. Date Posed and modifed is listed as 12/31/1969 18:59:59.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Quick update to my question #2. The extra payment only shows up when I print off the order data sheet. It only shows on paper. Does not show within the admin panel.

The arrow has a define because those often change due to stylistic needs.

Well, it's your MOD anyway - it looks great.

Yup, you gotta make sure that the SQl file runs through all the way. Make sure you have the latest version (rev 45 in the download section) and try the SQL again. It includes some changes to the SQL file.

Note that running the script again may create duplicate entries in the configuration table and a few other places, so I hope you backed up your data.

Sounds like you did not complete the installation steps properly for "Required File Edits." Specifically, revisit 7. Edit the order.php class (catalog side) in the readme and make sure you did it properly.

In my opinion, yes (duh). Seriously though, if you find the accounting abilities of stock zen lacking, then this is for you. Add in the Sales Report and you should have your bases covered.

I was reading through the Super Order Read Me file and it mentioned a module called "Basic Shipping Label" but I have not been able to locate it... Can anyone point me in the right direction?
It's based on the old "Basic Shipping Label" contribution, but has been updated and formatted to fit with the rest of SO module. The file is now called "super_shipping_label.php" and is located in the admin directory. You could pull it out and attach it to your store separately, but SO already has all the hooks for it.

Re: OLD Super Orders 2.0 (See v3.0 thread instead)

I have a problem with the Super Orders V2. I get an error after following the instructions in the readme.txt. Under Super Orders from the Admin->Customers->Super Orders this is the error I get:

1054 Unknown column 'customer_id' in 'field list'
in:
[select cc_cvv, customer_id, customers_name, customers_company, customers_street_address, customers_suburb, customers_city, customers_postcode, customers_state, customers_country, customers_telephone, customers_email_address, customers_address_format_id, delivery_name, delivery_company, delivery_street_address, delivery_suburb, delivery_city, delivery_postcode, delivery_state, delivery_country, delivery_address_format_id, billing_name, billing_company, billing_street_address, billing_suburb, billing_city, billing_postcode, billing_state, billing_country, billing_address_format_id, coupon_code, payment_method, payment_module_code, shipping_method, shipping_module_code, cc_type, cc_owner, cc_number, cc_expires, currency, currency_value, date_purchased, orders_status, last_modified, order_total, order_tax, ip_address from demo_orders where orders_id = '19']
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

Any info on how to resolve this would be great. BTW, I love this order management mod! Thanks!

Blindside's right ... however ... how would "you" determine which customers can use that option?

This technically isn't a question isolated to Super Orders directly, and so a separate topic is likely more appropriate for discussing this. If you can explain in more detail exactly the "what, how, who, and why" behind your question, then post it in the payment modules area for some possible ideas on how to rewrite the code... in the meantime, dig up your PHP books and cap and your favorite text editor ...

When running the super_upgrade.php i will get this message:

1146 Table 'xxxxxxx_zc1.payment_purchase_order' doesn't exist
in:
[select * from payment_purchase_order]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

Read that statement a little closer. The SQL file does not include your "zen_" table prefix. You will have to go through the file and add it. I'll add a reminder note to the Readme.

Re: OLD Super Orders 2.0 (See v3.0 thread instead)

I dont do anything exept following the upgrade.txt...

The upgrade procedure is simple. All it does is migrate any
payment data you have in the old Super Orders to the new, more
flexible format. It does this via a PHP script which copies
data out of the old tables and inserts it into the new ones.

  1. Follow the installation instructions in the readme.

  2. Find the "_upgrade" folder from the zip file.

  3. Upload "super_upgrade.php" directly to your "/admin" folder

  4. Log into your admin and manually type in the filename.
So if the URL for your Admin index looks like this...

    http://www.myshop.com/admin/index.php

    You would type...

    http://www.myshop.com/admin/super_upgrade.php

5. Follow the onscreen instructions.

===========
CLEANUP

  1. To check your work, open an order that had previous Super
Order payment data in it. You should now see that data
    in the new format.

  2. Make a backup copy of the old data, and then you may
remove the old "payment_" tables when you are
    comfortable with the new system.
