Don't see Media Collection

I've just checked, and my music files HAVE all been uploaded to the /media directory on the server!

The files are all of the correct size, so uploading doesn't seem to be the issue.

Any other suggestions?

Okay, in your case, they seem to be uploading ... but are they showing up in your media collection (when you select it and click Edit)?

Yes, the mp3 clip is displayed (currently I am trying with just 1 clip, and 1 album, but I've tried - and failed - with more!).

The collection is correctly showing 1 linked clip and 1 linked product.

What is the URL to the product you've assigned the collection to ?

And how many collections are tied to that product (#181) ?
Is this product cross-linked to more than one category ?

No cross linking, one collection.

According to the View Source in your browser, the media-manager code is being run, but it is not finding any collections assigned to that product.

Try removing all products assigned to it, and freshly add the product again.

When you click on your media collection, how many "Linked Products" and "Linked Clips" does it report below the "assign to product" button?

I just set one up on a demo site (it's reloaded every 2 hours, so may be gone by the time you see it):

Had no problems, and followed the same steps as I documented earlier in this thread.

This suggests to me that maybe you have some corrupted files on your server, or mismatched versions after upgrading etc?

It now works!

I deleted all the clips, the collection, AND the product and started again.

The clips are now appearing on my website, so it seems that the answer is to clear everything.

By the way, I am using:

Zen Cart 1.3.0.2
Database Patch Level: 1.3.0.2
v1.3.0.2 [2006-08-18 16:51:51] (Fresh Installation)

Hi, I have a collection assigned to a product which is fine and displays ok but does anyone know if I can also display this on categories product listing ie here:

I've generated an extra colum for it but I just don't know how to do it, if it is at all possible.

1. You must assign a collection to a product, not an individual clip.

2. Only products built with product-type "Product-Music" will display the media collection to the customer after doing the steps you described.

3. In the media-collection window (where you Edit and then can Add/Delete clips), you can review all the attached clips.

I sell musical instruments that are available in multiple "keys". I've followed the steps outlined but the box doesn't show up. They are product type General because I need to give dimensions for shipping. How would I get the media collection box to show up for these products??:frusty:

The media manager components only appear for product-music items.

In your other CP post about dimensions, I left guidance yesterday on how to integrate dimensional support into the edit-screens of the music-product items.

Being able to use medial manager (or something like it) for other producrts would be a worthwhile update!

Is there a way that I can achieve the same idea without using media manager? I just want a button on the prodcut details screen to play a sample sound clip for these instruments.

I'm also having the same problem now. Everything has been running smoothly, I've managed to put clips successfully but all of a sudden the media collection does not want to be assigned to product. It shows zero on linked product.
