Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

I am confused. I think we do not undertand each other.

So basicaly zen lighbox doesn't support multilanguage? like if i would want to use different buttons for different languages it is not gonna work because links to button imags are defined in CSS?I understand you perfectly.. What I am saying is that Zen Lightbox manages PRODUCT images.. NOT the navigation button images you are speaking of..

ZEN CART supports multiple languages, and if you want your buttons from your preferred language to appear, then this is the WRONG place to discuss this as this is not a Zen Lightbox related issue..

*ETA: you really do need to create your own thread if you need further help on this. But looking at your old post I notice that this is the path for your buttons: /includes/templates/MYTEMPLATE/buttons/CZECH/zen_lightbox/closelabel.gif

This is the WRONG path. It should be: /includes/templates/MYTEMPLATE/buttons/YOUR_LANGUAGE/closelabel.gif and I don't know for SURE, but I believe it's case sensitive so it probably needs to be lower case like all your other language folders..

If you need further help on this PLEASE start a new thread.. This is NOT a Zen Lightbox issue you are having, and should not be posted in the Zen Lightbox SUPPORT thread..*

I am talking about multiple languages support for zen_lightbox only.

I'm having an SQL problem when upgrading from ZC 1.39 to 1.5. Running older version of lightbox on my 1.39 cart and I'm trying to install 1.64 to my 1.5 cart. Ran the uninstall sql for older version and I can install into cart and all works OK except when trying to run:

This results in an error as follows:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /shop/admin/sqlpatch.php on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I've looked through the history and found info on changing .htaccess but tried without success. Is there someting I'm miissing here and just being stupid?

Images display correctly on site just don't have the admin control that was working fine on 1.39.

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you run the fill install.sql, or just the last part?

I ran the full sql install and got the error. Then tried running the 2 parts separately and could run the first part but not the second 1.5 mod. Tried it on both a new database and upgraded 1.39 database. I was a little confused why it had been separated but assume the latter is only required for 1.5 carts. I'm a little baffled and not sure what to try now.

Managed to get it to work by uploading the file rather than cut and paste. Not sure why as never had the problem before using cut and paste. On to the next one ....

thanks for the update, usually it's the other way around. The upload won't work, but cut and paste will.

Have Zen Lightbox. It's working on EZ Pages no probs so no tech issues (great mod btw)

But product images still have popups (eg: "larger image" popup). I want to switch to lightbox (and subsequently to multi-images as well) on products like the EZ pages do.

I know I missed something but what?

Appricated but can't do. Being tested on localhost devbox.

Regardless, can't be mod issue as it works for EZ pages as promised.

For the record, "larger image" link is showing javascript:popupWindow(blabla) so presumably this is not allowing ZLC to grab the link properly.

I think I recall turning a popup option on. For the life of me, can't remember where.

Any other suggestions?

Since this is not a lightbox related question, a search of the forum using the keywords "remove larger image" would have brought up these threads:

To get rid of it under your additional images - see this post (the file modified here is also modified by Zen Lightbox and Image Handler - tread carefully)
To get rid of it under your main product image - see this post

You DO know about the template override system and the concept of file merging to incorporate changes into files that cross paths with other mods and customizations right? If not, read up on that before you do anything else :)

I've installed lightbox and it appears to be working fine. Great module! However, I do have two small issues that I would love some advice on.

1. The shadowing around the image has been dropped down so it isn't flush with the bottom of the image file on product description pages. It has also pushed the 'click to enlarge' text further down so it isn't directly below the image. You can see what I mean here: http://mainelyratrescue.org/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=12&products_id=6

2. If a customer clicks the "click to enlarge' link instead of the image, it loads the image as a new page instead of either a popup or flashbox.

Any suggestions on how to correct these issues?

Which also seems to have fixed the issue with text loading a new page instead of a pop-up. YAY!

did you happen to compare the two files---old one and the one from the thread you linked to? what if any are the differences and are you using the same template (cherry zen)?

I have it installed in my main store version 1.3.9h and in test 1.5 store and no problems at all with the view larger link

I did compare to see what differences there were, but I don't remember now what exactly it was. Cherry Zen template implements drop shadows throughout the site, so I think there was just a conflict, which was corrected once I changed the code to what was in the link above. I have not noticed any conflicts or other errors since updating, so it appears everything is all and well.

thanks for letting me know, sometimes the apple_zen template will be obstinate too
