Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

boyemillar:

Nice Contrib...

I have a flash header and was wandering if this could be the cause of the image not displaying in the middle of the page it sits just short of the top and cuts a big chunk of the image.

Its on my local test site so i cant show it to you.

Or maybe there is a setting in one of the script files to enable me to move it further down the page

I can look at fixing this in the next release.

Any chance of you uploading a screenshoot so I can see exactly what's wrong?

Thanks.

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Here is a sample of the way it looks i rekon its definatley something to do with the flash header as it stays lit up until i capture the screen then it greys out like the rest of the screen.

By the way its only a funny test product i dont sell any HOFF products

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

This looks to be a great mod - My problem as an obviously out-dated and over-the-hill kind of guy is how do I open a .rar file? Is it mandatory to purchase WinRAR or some other tool? Obviously I'd prefer a free option - or better yet, do you have this in a .zip?

Thanks -

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

You can use WinRAR for 40 days on a trial basis. After that a 'nag' screen appears everytime you launch the program.

There are plenty of free programs that will allow you to create, edit and unpack rar files. Just search Google. :)

If you really want a .zip version I could upload one. Let me know.

Sorry to be a pain but if you could it would be much appreciated - It might also prove useful for others - I might not be the only caveman out here :D

Alex Clarke:

Here you go...

http://ansellandclarke.co.uk/alex/zencart/zen_lightbox_v1-1.zip

Thanks for that - It's a cool module. However, it wasn't working properly all of the time. On the main or first image it would default to a white background, full screen version of the image. If I continued to open it, it would eventually open with the lightbox. This was occurring in IE.

Subsequently I removed the module and unfortunately I am now having the same issue with my original configuration. The first image is not opening with the pop-up but in it's own full-screen window. Any idea what would cause that?

I was able to rectify the situation so as to be able to return to my original configuration. It looks to have had to do with tpl_modules_main_product_image.php. I replaced the file with my backup and all is good. However, I don't know why it was occurring with the lightbox.

Sounds like you have a problem with Javascript. Or, other contributions maybe causing problems.

Have you tested your site in Firefox?

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Since we're talking about version 1.2, please find a list of changes below...

  • Removed redundant images files -> 'prev.gif' and 'next.gif'
  • Fixed width of 'prev' and 'next' links
  • Added close link to lightbox image
  • Added Flash by-pass code to avoid overlay issues

Please note, if you are using any Flash objects/elements in your template you will need to put the following div tag around them.

<div class="flash">your-flash-code-here</div>

Anything within these div tags (your Flash and any other code) will be ignored when the lightbox appears on the screen. This is to prevent any overlay issues. Don't worry, it'll be restored when the lightbox is closed.

As far as I know, this is the only solution (at the moment). The class "flash" does not need to exist in your css.

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Hello Alex,

I steal it from your page as a zip-file. But it doesn't work with the image handler pictures. Only the lightbox with the rotating sun at the large picture. The additional pictures now are in the pop-up window like withourt your contribution.
What can it be?

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

The think with the additional pictures is wrong. I was so excited to see this contribution at work, that I forget to rename one of the "Your template" folders. But the rest is true.

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

I installed this on my site www.dojoma.com but it doesn't work properly. When I click on an image to enlarge, the window screen turns darker like it should but the larger picture never appears. The lightbox sort of hangs there. Can anybody tell me what could I be doing wrong? I followed the instructions and renamed the two folders.

One thing I noticed is that the URL for the larger image gets a _LRG at the end before ".jpg" but my pics are not named that way. Is there a way to get rid of the "_LRG" from the URL?

Thanks

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

 Have installed v1.3.5 and also Zen Lightbox but have run into a slight problem. It works fine on some pics but on some I keep getting a javascript error and clicking through it, the product pics don't show up on the page. Here's the error message:

Would love to have it working on the site as it looks good! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Ok, it appears that some people are finding that the lightbox is 'hanging'.

This reason for this is simple... I have not yet added Image Handler 2 support.

Don't worry... I'm working on adding support for IH2 now.

Alex Clarke:

Any chance of a link to your site?

:yes:The new site is at http://www.airsofttoday.com/v135/index.php - The best illustration is once the site loads, click on 'Airsoft Combos' and then select a specific combo to see it. On some of the combos, like the ones with the holsters in the combo and some others, you get the javascript error and the picture won't show up.

The main site is http://www.airsofttoday.com and would love to install Zen Lightbox on it as its the main website if we can get the error thing dissolved. Zen Lighbox has not been installed on it and everything is working OK. I sincerely appreciate your help.

Everything works fine for me!

Maybe it's a problem with your browser or Java on you system?
