Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Alex Clarke:

Everything works fine for me!

Maybe it's a problem with your browser or Java on you system?

:smile: Thanks for getting back Alex! OK, here is a product that when you click the javascript error shows up:

When you click on that picture heres what I get:

http://www.airsofttoday.com/v135/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=27&products_id=245

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Ok, thanks for the info and screenies! :)

Does this error occur to any other products? And what other mods/contributions are you using?

Let me know answers to the above and I'll have a look at this over the weekend.

Cheers,

Alex

:yes: Mainly on the combos which includes the holsters and maybe a few others. Many other pics work good with the contribution. Some pics don't like the one shown above.

:yes: Additonal contributions are the 'Nightfall' template and the split screen with the dual logins on the log in page. Appreciate it.

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Hi Alex,
I have it nearly running, but I have the following problem:

When I load up a picture via the categories.php bzw. product.php it gets chmod 777 and it works in all contributions (like lightbox and "What is new Scoller"). If I load up pictures with Imagehandler 2, they get chmod 650 and the contrbutions above didn't work until I change the chmod with ftp-program.
That couldn't be. Please help me, how can I solve this problem.

Michael

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

I just installed it on my local server to test, it works fine initailly with IE, but after I open Firefox, it did not work anymore for both IE and Firewire until I turn Firefox off (The large imaged is displayed correctly but not in a light box. It's quite strange, is there any settings in Firefox which disabled this function? Thanks, great mod!

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Hi Alex, do you have any simpler mod which have a pop up window with pre and next navigation for additional images? I'm not quite sure if light box will work with all the browsers but I definitely want the additional images appear with the main images. Thanks

Check to make sure that Java is enabled on your system and both browsers (IE and Firefox).

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Jeff,

Just occured to me what the problem (probably) is.

When the product_info page loads a Javascript file is loaded. This file is about 100kb! Don't worry... I'm working on cutting the size down!

Anyway... does the problem happen when you mate clicks on the image before the page has finished loading? If so, this means that the Javascript file has not loaded and therefore the lightbox can not be built! :)

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

managed to replicate the problem . it seems as you suspected in that it only occurs if the page is not fully loaded

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Ok, it's good that we've found the problem.

I'll look at fixing this issue (is possible) in one of the next releases.

Thanks for the feedback!

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

proimpulse did you unzip it on your server or on your HD?

if you unzipped on your hd, then i suggest your try d/ling it again, as its a good file.

if you unzipped it on your server, then you need to unzip it on your hd and THEN upload it in the proper folders.

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Love Zen Lightbox - it works great and looks even better - except in one circumstance.

I have Image Handler installed, and it creates the image tag with a javascript hover. Zen Lightbox, then encapsulates this JS in a document.write - which bombs out in IE and FF. Can you escape the interior code? Or do I have to find a way to remove the hovering effect in Image Handler?

This is the code in question:

      <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"><!--
document.write('<a href="images/oldimages/OldArmy-Wine_03.jpg" rel="lightbox[gallery]" title="Old Army Tee Shirt-Wine"><img src="bmz_cache/8/8b90f65bad6260af9512af05aecf2ffc.image.64x80.jpg" alt="Old Army Tee Shirt-Wine" title=" Old Army Tee Shirt-Wine " width="64" height="80" style="position:relative" onmouseover="showtrail('bmz_cache/5/574e7d0af96a8d0fa73f529d8b58a04a.image.96x120.jpg','Old Army Tee Shirt-Wine',64,80,96,120,this,0,0,64,80);" onmouseout="hidetrail();"  /><br />larger image</a>');
//--></script>

Somehow, the dual JS needs to be escaped or removed. I'll look into removing it on the Image Handler side and will report back to this thread.

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Well, by just stripping out the script tags and document.write stuff - I can make it work perfectly with JS on, but the graceful degrading to noscript when JS is off is lost. When I comment out the noscript tag, everything kind of turns out okay, but I'm sure there's a more elegant solution. It does still work with JS off, though (the pop-up, not lightbox).

Here's my hack of /includes/modules/YOUR_TEMPLATE/additional_images.php -- line 91

    // Link Preparation:
	// begin zen lightbox v1.2 aclarke 2006-09-07
    $script_link = '<a href="' . $products_image_large . '" rel="lightbox[gallery]" title="' . $products_name . '">' . $thumb_slashes . '<br />' . TEXT_CLICK_TO_ENLARGE . '</a>';
	// end zen lightbox v1.2 aclarke 2006-09-07

   // $noscript_link = '<noscript>' . ($flag_display_large ? '<a href="' . zen_href_link(FILENAME_POPUP_IMAGE_ADDITIONAL, 'pID=' . $_GET['products_id'] . '&pic=' . $i . '&products_image_large_additional=' . $products_image_large) . '" target="_blank">' . $thumb_regular . '<br />' . TEXT_CLICK_TO_ENLARGE . '</a>' : $thumb_regular ) . '</noscript>';

It doesn't degrade as gracefully, but works for now. I'm guessing the code could use some escaping to fix it.

Thanks for the add-on! I look forward to the compression and stripping of the JS to a smaller filesize.

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Those JS script tags are part of the original ZenCart code.

Why do they need to be removed?

PS - Zen Lightbox does not support IH2 yet. I'm working on this now. :)

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

onmouseover="showtrail('bmz_cache/5/574e7d0af96a8d0fa73f529d8b58a04a.image.96x120.jpg','Old Army Tee Shirt-Wine',64,80,96,120,this,0,0,64,80);" onmouseout="hidetrail();"

This is the JS code that is causing the problem - the code creates a slightly larger version of the image as a hover effect - it is created by Image Handler. Can a document.write write out a second JS function (showtrail) unescaped? Wouldn't the interior end of function - ); - throw it off?

I'm not good enough with JS to know.
